I'm a baker who has worked in the food industy for 17 years. I grew up trying to help (or get in the way of), my Mom doing her magic in the kitchen. Most of my recipies today stem from her's or my own variation of her culinary delights.

My Mom's Thanksgiving turkey dinner, my Mom's Easter turkey dinner, My Mom's Christmas turkey dinner. Need I say more?
My cooking triumphs
Every time I see someone enjoying my cooking, especially children. They are the toughest critics!
My cooking tragedies
Running out of gas during a work BBQ that we were hosting. Forgetting to put the yeast in a 350 lb batch of Italian Ciabatta dough at work. I only realized it a couple hours later after my crew and I had cut it up, rounded into buns, panned and tried to proof them. Needless to say, they never rose. And I've actually done this twice over the years.

Chinese Napa Cabbage Salad
Awesome and refreshing salad. I love the flavor of toasted sesame seeds and almonds. I didn't find it necessary to use "toasted" sesame seeds since I threw them in with the almonds to toast after the noodles started to brown. The only thing I'll make sure of the next time is to use the largest Napa cabbage I can find. I used a medium sized one, even though the recipe says large, and I found all the other ingredients to be overabundant. I'll definitely make this again.
