I am a mom of three kids. Krafty is an old nickname. I love cooking with my friends especially my "spoon sisters" and for my family. My husband actually is a great cook and inspires me to try new things with my picky palette. I am always looking for new healthy recipes for my family. This summer we are enjoying eating straight from our garden. My oldest 2 1/2 yr old daughter can often be found in the backyard with a fist full of green beans.
My favorite things to cook
Casseroles, baked goodies, salmon, grilled shrimp, various dips, trying new chicken dishes and fondue.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making a variety of cookies for the holidays. This is a tradition I had when I was girl with my grandmother and mom. Now it's my tradition with my children. The best part is delivering plates of treats to our neighbors.
My cooking triumphs
Bon Bons, banana bread, my mexican casserole, angel food cake, recreating my dad's flank steak and sauted mushrooms, my friend's Darbie's recipe for almond torte (yum), my friend Cindy's lasagna, & my friend Sarah's recipe for red velvet cupcakes.
My cooking tragedies
The first time I cooked chicken burgers in my twenties for my soon to be husband and I made the mistake of broiling them. A little raw on the insides, oops!
