Corned Beef and Cabbage

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2011
Awesome! I have never made corned beef and cabbage before, and this was exactly as I remembered my Mom's tasting when I was young and she'd prepare it on St. Paty's Day - only better!!!! I used a smaller brisket of corned beef than the recipe calls for - maybe 2 pounds, and cooked it the entire 9 hours...meat was tender and veggies delish! Serve with a side of brown mustard for dipping.

Brie Cranberry and Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2011
not a fan of this one. Ate a piece, sure, won't make again. I love love love Brie, but it overwhelmed this pizza. The slices were heavy, and thick, and the flavors just didn't mesh as I hoped...couldn't even taste the chicken...a waste. Oh well.

Pecan Chicken Pockets

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2011
Surprised by all the 5 star reviews. This was ok...both my husband and I agree...good, but by no means great. I won't make it again, but it was nice to try something this different. My fav part was the cooked crescent rolls...the inside was fair.

Brown Sugar Bacon Waffles

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2011
these were good. Next time I'll use more bacon (10 slices) and double the brown sugar in the batter. The flavors are good, but need to be enhanced more. We enjoyed these though, and can't wait to make again with the improvements.

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2011
not so great, in our opinion. my husband and I thought the consistency was odd, and the flavor kind-of bland. we ate it, but won't make again.

Kielbasa with Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2011
This was a solid "good". We actually enjoyed the left-over more than the original dish - the flavors all soaked into the pasta. We used shell pasta because that's what I had in the pantry. Use lots of parm for more delish!

pretty good, but not fantastic...needs a little more something...tiny bit bland, but we ate it all anyway...I'm thinking the sauce needs some zing.

So good! Hearty and filling so you'll have plenty of left-overs! I used 2 boxes of Purdue Shortcuts Chicken for the chicken so that saved time. yummy!

Awesome Baked Sea Scallops

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2010
very yummy! I added a bit more butter and a tad less bread crumbs than the recipe called for...delicious! I think even a sprinkle of mozz. cheese over them would be great too! I served them with a light caesar salad.
