Fusion Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2007
super easy and great tasting. I used frozen chicken tenders for even more ease and speed. I served this over rice and my husband and I loved it!

Butterscotch Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2006
used a day old (hard) bagguette, put the bite size bread pieces in the pan, sprikled the chips over the bread, then poured the remaining ingredients mixure over the bread. I let the mixture sit for 1/2 hour to let the bread really soak up the wet stuff. It seemed really giggly when it first came out, but it thickened up and was delicious!

BBQ Chicken Pizza II

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2006
I left off the green pepper and added sliced mushrooms. I used half jack and half parm cheese. I baked it at 425 for 15 min to help get the veggies a little more done. Yum!

Chocolate Eclair Dessert

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2006
Made this with one batch vanilla, and one batch chocolate pudding. I put grahm crackers on top and bottom, and vanilla wafers in the middle. My husband loved it (especially day 2). I thought it tasted like a HoHo. Really easy and pretty yummy.

Laurie's Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2005
This was pretty good, but time consuming. It definately needed spices. I put garlic powder, garlic salt, onion powder, and an italian blend. I tried it with green beens instead of bell peppers..I'd leave them both out next time. I added carrots and celery and tomato paste to the meat mixture. Bread crumbs and cheese on top were nice. I added some sour cream, butter, garlic salt and pepper to the potatoes and blended them in the cuisinart to make them smooth. I doubled the whole thing, lined a 9x13 with two premade pie crusts and then layed the filling.

Yum! My husband had seconds. I doubled everything and made it in a 9x13in pan. I added 1/4c lemon juice, a tsp cinnamon and 1/8 tsp nutmeg. I used the cuisinart to slice the apples - so easy.

Lemon Square Bars

Reviewed: May 11, 2005
I have gotten so many compliments on these lemon bars. They are quite potent and sweet, but they have been a winner for me at Easter, mother's day, etc. I make sure to use Meyer lemons for the juice. Thanks for the great recipe!

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2005
I pounded the chicken breasts, doubled the spice rub (since it looked a little weak for a "generous" rub, and then made it with white rice made with 2tsp fresh grated ginger and 1 can coconut milk. The combination was great!

Best Spinach Dip Ever

Reviewed: May 26, 2004
Tasty! I used an 8oz can water chestnuts and the whole 10oz pkg of spinach. It turned out perfect. I left it in a bowl and cut up a whole round loaf of sourdough...we ran out of bread (I should have bought more).

Simple Texas Salsa

So easy and tasty! I'm a garlic lover so I added 4-5 cloves...well, I suggest sticking with the recipe...that much garlic was a little over kill.

Classic Tiramisu

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2002
I made this for my roommate (her favorite dessert). She said it was great, but said it needed a little more kahloua. she suggested a quick dip of the lady fingers into the coffee liquour instead of just brushing it on. I also shaved Milk chocolate on top (about a half a bar of See's chocolate). Thanks for the recipe, she is reqesting I make it for her birthday.

Spiced Pumpkin Seeds

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2002
These turned out really nice. I only had 1 3/4 cups of seeds and used the called for amounts of spices and they still turned out great (not overly salty). I used 1/4tsp regular salt and 1/4 tsp seasoned salt and everything else as directed. Thank you for the tasty treats.

Baklava

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2002
I made this for my fathers birthday. He loved it! This recipie is simple and incredibly tasty. The filo dough is time consuming but the result is worth it. To respond to the previous review...you don't really know good baklava if you think the bottom shouldn't be a little gooey and sticky. The yummy sweet honey sauce makes it that way. Without it baklava would be dry and just taste like chopped nuts. I will definately make this again.
