I'm a teenager currently considering a career as a chef/baker. I love all things food related, especially eating!
My favorite things to cook
I love to make pasta and seafood dishes, as well as fancy desserts with chocolate. I like to try new things and make exotic, though tasty recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving is huge in my family-homemade cranberry sauce and 5 types of pie are always made (usually by me) the day before. In addition, I am in charge of all birthday cakes until further notice.
My cooking triumphs
I recently made a chocolate cheesecake-my first dabble in the complicated cheesecake world. I freaked at melting chocolate, but it was delcared by Dad's new favorite food when done. Also, I've been able to get my extremely picky brothers to try some new things through creativity that my family praises.
My cooking tragedies
The first time I made pasta-it burned to the bottom of the saucepan. That was the first time I realized that reading the directions on the box isa helpful tactic in the kitchen!

Honey Mustard Dressing II
I liked but didn't love this. I was the only one who would even try it and wasn't that impressed. I love honey mustard sauce, but didn't really like this. I probably won't make it again.

Basil Pan-Seared Scallops over Pasta
I LOVED this pasta-I ate all of the leftoves cold the next day. The sauce was DELICIOUS. However, the basil was way too heavy for those who ate it. I cut that in half, but it was still overpowering. I'll probably make it again with just a pinch of basil. The pasta will be my new go-to for dinner, though!
