Shrimp Scampi IV

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2005
I'm a seafood lover and love scampi, but this was average at best. I expected more flavor. Definitely need more garlic.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2005
I'm a seafood lover and this was a very flavorful recipe. I thought the cheese coating was outstanding- would go great on other seafoods as well. I'll definitely be making this again.

Southwestern Chicken Lasagna

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2004
I made this for a company party and everyone loved it. I liked the southwestern flavor the salsa gave this dish and it was a good change of pace from the ordinary lasagna. We will definitely be making this again.

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2004
These wings were really good as far as taste goes- don't know about Hooters, but similar to a variety at my favorite...Quaker Steak & Lube (Sharon, PA). I did have a problem with the wings getting "gooey" one the sauce was added, hence the 4 stars- next time I'll just fry the wings without the flour coating.

Perfectly Chocolate Hot Cocoa

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2003
This was very good if not better than any store bought mix I've tried. Definitely comforting on a cold night! I read that one other reviewer had problems with cocoa that didn't dissolve. To avoid this I simply sifted my cocoa after measuring it out- no more lumps.

Chili I

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2003
The ingredients seem a litte odd for chili as I've known it, but like others I tried it without changing the recipe much (I omitted the chili peppers). I have to say this was the best chili I've ever eaten and my wife said the same. It's down right addicting! Anyone reading this should throw away any other chili recipes because this is the only one you'll need. If it's better then next day like others have said, then I can't wait for tomorrow!!!

Chicken and Dumplings III

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2003
This was a good recipe with down-home taste, however...you definitely need to add extra vegetables of your choice in order to bring out the flavor(I added carrots, green beans, & peas). The dumplings were excellent! I'd say if you want a thicker broth, definitely add cornstarch as I've read in other reviews, otherwise you will have a very "soupy" chicken and dumplings. Family really liked it and I'll definitely make it again, maybe with whole chicken.

BBQ Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2002
My family loved this pizza. My daughter liked it but I think my husband and I enjoyed it more. We left off the peppers and instead of a store bought crust I made my own crust. We will definitely have this again. AWESOME

Beer Batter Fish Made Great

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2002
Nobody in my family liked this recipe. The batter separated from the fish and was very soggy eventhough the oil was hot enough. Taste was bland at best. Will keep fishing for a different recipe.

Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2001
I thought this was a great cutout cookie recipe. The cream cheese definitely sets it apart from other sugar cookie recipes I've tried. I had no trouble handling the dough- just make sure your work surface and hands are well floured.
