Honey Wheat Bread II

I'm really indecisive so when I read all the suggestions in the reviews I didn't know which one to pick! So I ended up baking the bread exactly as it was on the recipe and it turned out wonderful. I like it so much I can eat this bread plain! The honey gives it a very subtle sweetness which is great. The only problem I had was incorporating all 5 cups of all-purpose flour into the dough. I stopped at 4 1/2 cups because the dough didn't seem to be "absorbing" any more flour. For those who ended up with a stiff dough, I think it's probably because they grew impatient and started added lots of flour instead of doing it gradually. The total bake time for my two loaves was 25 minutes.

Oatmeal Pancakes II

Of all the pancakes I've ever had, this is by far the best recipe I've come across. The oatmeal is not overbearing but gives the pancakes a yummy texture. I substituted half of the flour with wheat flour and like a past reviewer, I decided to omit the white sugar and added in 2 TBSP brown sugar instead. Turned out great! If you're the kind of person that submerges their pancakes in syrup and sweet fruit toppings however, I would maybe decrease the 2 TBSP brown sugar to 1 or 1 1/2 TBSP.

Grandma's Egg Custard Pie

The filling was slightly too sweet, it took about 40 minutes to bake, and it turned out to look like steamed egg. The egg whites also didn't prevent a soggy crust. To decrease the cooking time I'd suggest putting in less filling.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

I followed the recipe as it was but decided to decrease the sugar by 1 3/4 cups when it seemed to be too much compared to the flour. The bread turned out great - you can't even tell its zucchini but it was still a little too sweet to my liking.
