Cheeseburger Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2011
This was a hit with my entire family, including hubby, 2 teens and a toddler. My older kids keep asking when we can have it again. Seriously? My kids want salad? It was great!!! Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2011
So, I had my parents over for dinner. I thought the salad was great but I everyone else was too busy eating to comment. THEN my parents BOTH asked for 2nds. Paired with grilled chicken it was a HUGE HIT. Mmmmm. Thanks for sharing.

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2011
I thought this was excellent - much like the chicken marsala I've had at my fav local Italian place. Everyone in my family (even the picky little ones) enjoyed it! Thanks for sharing.

Artichoke Chicken

I thought it was very good and my husband LOVED it. It was also extremely easy to make and pop in the oven. Delish! Thanks for sharing.

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2011
This was great!! Tender, moist chicken and my husband LOVED it. I will certainly make it again. I only gave it 4 stars because I had to double the bread crumb/parm mix to get plenty of coverage. WONDERFUL!! Thanks for sharing.

Black Bean and Couscous Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2011
I LOVED this recipe. I will say, that (based upon other reviews) I doubled the dressing and I still wanted a bit more. Mmmm, but it was wonderful. We ate it as a side dish for days and my kids (2, 13 and 14) all ate it. This is certainly one of my new favs and I can't wait to take it to a pot-luck or dinner at my parents. Thanks for sharing!!

Fajita Marinade I

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2010
Wonderful marinade!! My husband and I both LOVED it! I made one slight change: I eliminated the water entirely. I marinated flank steak for four hours, threw it on the stove while I tossed the peppers and onions in the same marinade and cooked them a little later. Just the right amount of heat - not overwhelming. We will certainly make this marinade again and again. Thanks for sharing!!

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2010
Wow!! This tasted wonderful!!! I made exactly as recipe specified. It did not spread like typical frosting -- it wasn't quite as fluffy but it still looked pretty good piped on cupcakes. The taste, however, was PERFECT on carrot cupcakes. Mmmmm. Thanks for sharing!

Pumpkin Pancakes

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2010
These were good -- just not great. They seemed a little dense for my taste. My kids haven't asked for them again so I probably won't make them again.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2010
Mmmm. Best apple pie I ever made! I did add a little cinnamon and a splash of vanilla. The syrup was the PERFECT consistency -- it didn't make the bottom of the pie soggy like some recipes. Wonderful!!! Thank you for sharing.

Clark's Quiche

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2010
Cooked the quiche exactly as specified in the recipe. It tasted good but took FOREVER to make. I actually think I prefer a more simple quiche -- a little ham, mushrooms & Swiss. This one seemed to have WAY too much going on. It was a little heavy and overwheming and I won't be making it again. Not worth the effort.

Watermelon Fire and Ice Salsa

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2010
I've been searching for a good tomato-less salsa recipe for my father (he's allergic) and this is it! Wonderful!! I've made this 3 times now and I would suggest just a few minor tweaks: I actually double the cilantro and green onion AND we eat the red, sweet "heart" of the watermelon and use the rest for salsa. I like a little of the whiter melon (the part you generally don't eat) to add a little textural variety to the salsa. Double or triple the recipe -- it goes FAST. WONDERFUL!!

Fresh Tomato Salsa

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2010
GREAT 'pico' type salsa. The only change I would make: add one pepper at a time to get to the desired HEAT level. 5 peppers would have been TOO much. Otherwise, perfect blend of flavors.

Quinoa and Black Beans

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2010
I prepared the dish per the recipe and it was good, not great. I just felt it was rather bland and one level tastewise. I think I would have preferred it with a can of Rotel or maybe something crunchy like a bell pepper or maybe come crunchy green onions. Overall, it's a good recipe, but one I probably won't make again.

Beef Bulgogi

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2010
Wonderful!! My entire family LOVED it (even the picky little ones). I made it JUST like the recipe EXCEPT: I tenderized the meat and sliced it in thin strips and THEN marinated it for about an hour. I stir-fried it in a very hot wok. We ate it with steamed white rice and steamed veggies. This is the ONLY recipe I've tried on here (so far) that I guarantee will be requested again and again. Thanks for sharing!!

Chili Rellenos Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2010
I made two alterations based upon other reviewers' recommendations: 3 eggs instead of two and used enchilada sauce instead of tomato sauce. I thought it was extremely tasty - I just wasn't thrilled with the texture. Next time I make it (and there will be a next time) I will probably add a few browned hashbrown potatoes or a little browned ground beef. Overall, a very nice dish.
