J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits
This recipe comes out perfect every time! Make sure to cut in the shortening really well. Stir the dough until it is just barely moistened, then turn it out onto a floured surface. Knead only until it comes together a little more, then pat it out into a rectangle. Skip the round biscuit cutter and use a large knife to cut into about 8 rectangles so you only have to cut ONCE. If you use a round cutter, get them as close together as possible and don't re-roll scraps. The key is to work the dough as little as possible! Brush the tops with melted butter before and after baking and these babies will beat your favorite restaurant biscuits hands down!

Italian Bread Bowls
I prefer a crispy crust versus the chewy crust that this recipe produces, but that can be easily remedied. Perfect with broccoli cheese soup!!!

Classic Goulash
So good! Definitely use Worcestershire sauce instead of soy. Also, if you can find tomatoes with garlic and basil, you can cut down on the dried seasonings. Italian seasoning blend has rosemary in it, which isn't all that appealing to me dry or in Goulash. I also added some paprika to the browned beef, a must in goulash.
