Different Chicken Divan

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2003
This recipe was excellent! My family has always enjoyed this dish but your additions of garlic, cayenne and onions really made a big difference. In the past I'd used breadcrumbs on the cheese as a topping which are good--this is better. I generally don't like cayenne pepper but have to admit it made a big difference in the taste. NOTE: The amount of curry powder to add depends on the brand start with 1 1/2 teas and go up to as much as 2 Tablespoons depending on taste. I was shocked when I switched brands and found I needed to cut the curry amount down to a fourth.

Caesar Salad Croutons

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2003
A little too greasy for us following the directions. I cut the oil/butter by half and tossed the croutons with the mixture with a light coating of season salt to make up for the taste difference. Instead of pan frying I baked them on a cookie sheet at 350 for about 15 minutes and thought they came out better the second time. Great for snacking and salads.

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

This was not a good recipe--unless you enjoy the rather'greasy'taste of cream cheese. My family and I prefer the cheesey and bread crumb based recipes.Perhaps it would be better with a protein like chicken or crab, I'm not willing to give it a try, I say try the recipe for Happy Hour Mushrooms instead!

Army SOS Creamed Ground Beef

GREAT BASIC RECIPE FOR YOUR COLLECTION. Add noodles and sour cream for a dish better than Hamburger Helper. I've added spincich, garlic, noodles and sour cream and everyone loved it. We didn't like it on toast but to each his own.
