Best Barbequed Burgers

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2005
Pretty good! For low carb, we just put the patty on a plate & pour "no carb" 1,000 Island on top. Yummy!

Cranberry BBQ Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2005
Great- whole family loved it! I made it easier by not browning the chicken first- I just put it in the pan & poured the mixture of cranberry sauce & BBQ sauce over. (omitting onion & celery) Covered with foil the first half of baking time. No need to mess with basting. Be careful choosing BBQ sauce- mine was a little spicy. Thanks for submitting!

Lisa's Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2005
I'm sure this recipe will be great as is, but I decided to play around a bit! Instead of chocolate pudding, I used the new creamy orange Jello pudding. I also subbed Grand Marnier for 1/2 of the oil! YUM!!! I had about 1 1/2 cups of mini chips, so I just dumped them all in. 50 minutes at between 325 & 350 degrees was perfect. The flour Pam worked great - I let it cool for 15 minutes on a rack & then turned out. Put the cake cover on while cooling- then sprinkled on powdered sugar. (had to wipe out excess moisture from the cake cover) Everyone loved it at the Father's Day get-together!

Marzetti® Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2005
Pretty good, but way too runny. I think if you use half the amount of dressing it would be much better. Add cashews right before serving- if you have leftovers, they get soggy.

Awesome Korean Steak

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2005
Really really good! I found a 1 pound piece of Laura's beef tenderloin. I put it in the freezer for about 1 hour, & then sliced thinly. I halved the recipe & I only had time to marinate for about 6 hours. I saute'd for the full 10 minutes- this will make it nice & brown & the sauce to reduce. We just ate it plain- no rice. Thanks for the great recipe!

Parmesan Artichoke Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2005
Yum- the artichokes I bought were 14 oz cans. I also used 2 t. minced garlic because I didn't have enough garlic powder. I think it needs more than a pinch of paprika- I just sprinkled it over the top from the spice jar. Really good- low carb too. Thank you!

I cut the topping ingredients in half & still had too much. I also used olive oil Pam to spray the tomato slices before & after broiling. Very healthy & delicious!

Bodacious Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2005
Add me to the list of folks who love this! I halved the recipe & used a bag of fresh broccoli flowerets, which I kind of tore apart or cut up. I also reduced the pepper as per one reviewer since I was a little worried about that. Used Splenda to make it super low carb & voila!!! A healthy delicious side dish! Thanks!

Minnesota Golf Course Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2005
This was my recipe of choice for the Super Bowl. I used 2 cans of the diced tomatoes with onion, celery, & green pepper.(14 oz) (Same as stewed tomatoes- just pre-cut) I used my Zyliss chopper to make the celery & onion super fine- came out GREAT.(I don't like crunchy bits of celery either!) Next time I will do the green pepper that way, too! I had already chopped it by hand & thrown in the pot- it was fine this way anyway. I did saute' the veggies in a little olive oil, then added the meat. The only other thing: it was too mild- & I'm a wuss! So next time I will add more chili powder. I love the consistency of this chili.

Alice's Sour Cream Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2005
I don't really like cooking with the microwave for some reason, so I just put the chicken in the pan, poured the sauce over, & baked at 350 for 40 minutes. The sauce did separate- I just plucked out the pieces of chicken & served 'em up. The whole family ate it- even my picky 6 year old. So... I'll try to add some thickener next time.
