Pretty good- although I didn't use as much garlic as it states....scared! I guess I used 2 cloves.

Orange Honey Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2006
Very good!! I used skinless, boneless breasts like always. Baked about 45 minutes, but would go for 35-40 next time. A good low carb choice.

Jackie's Special Meatloaf

This is just OK. I think 1 T. of onion & garlic powder is too much for this recipe.

Sour Cream Chicken Quiche

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2006
I'd give this a 4.5. Thick when mixed together, but turns out fine. Make sure not to overcook. (top gets a little brown, so watch it.) I used a 6 oz package of pre-cooked, chopped chicken!

Caramel Frosting V

Reviewed: May 25, 2006
Yummy! I also added powdered sugar simply because I wanted a lighter color/consistency. I just added some & stirred until it was how I wanted it. I think it would be excellent this way with some maple flavoring! I used it to frost the new caramel cake- Duncan Hines I believe.

Terry's Texas Pinto Beans

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2006
I left out the jalapeno, being the wimp that I am. Glad, too, since this has a bite anyway. Uh...the beans were still a tad "crunchy" & I cooked 'em 2 1/2 hours. (Maybe you are supposed to cover these with a lid?!?) I would advise to use a slow cooker or use a lid or cook longer. I also added a few tablespoons of bacon bits. These would be very good if you cook them until soft.

Breaded Chicken Fingers

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2006
These are very good- I don't like to fry too often & "grease" up the house! If you slice the chicken breasts thinly on the diagonal, you don't have to pound. I think the recipe needs a little pepper. The whole fam liked them- keep an eye on them so they don't get too brown! Dipped in "Honey Mustard Sauce" from this site & also used some Panko for part of the bread crumbs.

Baked Beans II

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2006
Yum Yum Eat 'em Up!!! I always cook with those real bacon bits instead of uncooked bacon, so I added 2 T. to the mix. Deeeeelicious!!! Thought my husband was going to eat the whole pan full! BTW, use Van Camp's Pork & Beans. (not canned baked beans that are already sweetened)

Creamy Cheesecake

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2006
This was very good- but I'm looking for something creamier...my goal is to find a recipe that tastes like the Original Sara Lee cheesecake! I made this with 1/2 cup of sugar as suggested by others-might leave it at 3/4 next time. Beat for 10 minutes & omitted lemon. I put a pan of water on the bottom rack of oven, left the cheesecake in for 2 hours after cooking, & finished cooling on a rack before chilling. It really is very good- maybe I will add some sour cream to try to get it to the consistency I'm looking for.

mmmmm....good! I mixed the mayo & water first- then added the eggs. Amazing how something so simple can add so much flavor!

Irish Chicken and Dumplings

ehh...not impressed. A lot of trouble, too. Bland. Too many potatoes. Plus, they were not done in 30 minutes- even though I cut them fairly small.

Homemade Irish Cream Liqueur

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2006
It's weird....I entered this in my recipe box awhile back, & now it doesn't seem to appear anywhere in Allrecipes....I'm glad I had saved it! It's great- I think next time I will use half & half- the cream makes it a little thick. Yeah, don't mix for too long in the blender- it could turn to butter- haha! Anyway- I used vanilla rum because that's what I had on hand. VERY yummy recipe. Will be great in tomorrow's coffee, too. If you think you might like this recipe, better save it from my review!!!

Asparagus Quiche

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2006
This turned out way better than I anticipated! I used 1 2.8oz package of Oscar Meyer bacon bits. I also saute'd the asparagus with a little butter & garlic instead of steaming. Using 2 shallow pie shells, it was perfect! The tops got a little too brown- next time I will loosely cover with foil the last 10 minutes. My husband & daughter loved it, too. Thanks so much!
