Buffalo Chicken Dip

People now ask me to make this constantly. It's mega deadly/unhealthy, but oh so popular and delicious. I'm thinking perfect Superbowl or boyfriends birthday party food.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Very good recipe. This is a great, classic cookie. No frills, just quality. I made them with Ghiradelli chocolate chips and they were a HUGE HIT at my garden party.

Scottish Shortbread IV

Make sure you use salted butter! And feel comfortable adding a little extra. The salt will bring out the sweetness of your sugar. This recipe was wonderful. If you have to use two pans, expect the cook time to be just a few minutes extra due to decreased air circulation. I personally used my kitchen aid mixer to do all the labor, and I did not knead anything. Easy easy easy...

Mardi Gras King Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2012
THIS IS GOOD. MAKE IT. Iv'e never made king cake... never made brioche... Needed enough to serve 75 at my nursing home. yikes? NOPE! ZOMG this is good! Iv'e always had store bought which I now understand is a DISGRACE! I'm quite pleased with myself! -- Be sure to wrap it well, or your filling will spill out..... but if you mess this up anyways, eat the brown sugar/raisin brittle creation on the pan... cause it's freakin good too!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2012
I love that this makes a TON of cookies. And I found them super addicting with my favorite hard icings and sprinkles, and colored sugars, but I only gave four stars b/c the actual cookie alone is a lot of flour and not very sweet. Perhaps this is a necessity for roll-able cookies, but that's where I stand. I'll still use it all the dang time tho... =)

Frosted Pumpkin Muffins

A little mix up: we used butter pecan cake mix instead of pound cake mix... this was A GREAT IDEA. I also added cranberries to the batter and the tip top of the cupcake after frosting. So pretty, so delish!

I use this recipe as a base for EVERYTHING. I have a knack for frostings and icings and this cookie lends itself to any flavor combination I can come up with. Love it.

Mandarin Orange Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2012
This was yummy, but not orangy enough for our tastes. I found myself having to add far more cornstarch than called for, and luckily, I had some orange essence oil that I snuck in at the end to get the flavor I wanted. It was good eventually!

Slow Cooker Apple-Scented Venison Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2012
I had never cooked any game meats, and I had also never used my slow cooker... So I was afraid... very afraid!!!! And fortunately, this was lovely. I wish it had been colder outside because this meal deserved a hot fire and a chick flick! I did the first round overnight, and in the morning I added a bunch of veggies, celery, potatoes, carrots, mushrooms... It was great. We ate it with crusty bread for the rest of the week!

Chicken Cordon Bleu I

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2012
We served this for a little dinner party and everyone was super happy. We served it with slow roasted vegetables and the presentation was so pleasing. I asked the deli for their saltiest ham in thick slices, and for the cheese to be in super thick slices too... nom nom

Sesame Shrimp Stir-Fry

This was very yummy. I'm a little stinker as far as following recipes properly... I can guess I did double garlic, and double the cornstarch. I made my own makeshift teriyaki sauce with soy sauce and sugar. It's GUUUUD.
