Chocolate Wave Zucchini Bread

A very delicious sweet treat! I found the chocolate batter to be difficult to spread evenly because it was so thick but the flavor after baked was very pleasing.

Disappearing Marshmallow Brownies

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2010
Flavor considered these were very good. I used the new vanilla flavored marshmellows and made them in a very well greased muffin tin. To address the problem with them being gooy and stickig to the pan, a tip- Line whatever you are using w/ foil and then grease the foil. Also- let them cool a bit out of the oven then put them in the freezer for and hour or so. This firms the marsmallows that melted allowing you to cut them without it sticking to the knife. I will make again for sure- just with a few tricks to remove them more easily.

Butternut Squash Pizzas with Rosemary

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2010
I've made this a few times now and have to say I've enjoyed it every time. I peel the squash then lop off the bottem and scoop out the seeds. Then slice it super thin and roast it as instructed. My personal preference is to use homemade pizza dough and to drizzle the onions w/ balsamice vinegar before roasting. I use asiago cheese and instead of sprinkling it over the top I cover the dough w/ a thin layer and arange the onions and squash on top. DO NOT make the mistake of expecting a gooy, cheesy take-out pizza! It is a beautiful pizza and very unique. Make this and present it as a classy new dish for your family and guest.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2010
I have to say this recipe was perfect! It is smooth, creamy and cheesy and is easily adaptible w/ low fat ingretients. I used "I can't belive it's not butter. Light"- lowfat cream cheese-1% milk and lowfat mozz. cheese. Even w/ reducing the calories that much it was stil super yummy. I'll use this as a base for many cream sauces from now on!

Make-Ahead Slow Cooker Beef Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2010
I really wanted this recipe to blow me away with the marsala wine and tomatoes. It was definatly really good but I would haave liked more.......... something. I read the reviews about most of the seasoning getting lost in the excess flour so instead of a resealable bag I seasoned the beef in a container w/ a lid and shook untill the meat was seasoned evenly. Then I added 2 tbsp of flour and shook again. The meat was coated prefectly w/ out loosing any flavor. Other than that I made everything else as written. This was very good, but very classic, nothing extrodinary. I will not be making this again.

Peanut Butter Brownies II

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2010
We had a blast making these and they looked and tasted great. We fallowed other reviews advice and used less cream cheese and more peanut butter. I whipped that mixture together first and set aside at room temp before mixing the brownie mixture together. That made it very easy to work with because it had softened so much. I even used light cream cheese adn reduced fat peanut butter and the taste was awsome!

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2010
This was very good. I will use the recipe for the sauce often. I had to give it four stars because my chicken was done cooking after 4 hours on low. All crockpots cook differently but 6 hours on low and my chicken would have been unedible. I used a light balsamic vinegarrette and it was wonderful. Great easy recipe!!!!!

Chocolate Crinkles II

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2010
Wow! I loved these.... They really melt in your mouth and were pretty simple. I took others advise and added chocolate chips for extra chocolate flavor and chilled the dough for longer. It was sticky but the end product is sooooo worth it. I also rolled the cookies twice and my crinkles were perfect. This is a staple for our cookie cravings!!!

Savory Cheddar Zucchini Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2010
I'm not sure what happened w/ the reviewers, but this was a great savory muffin. I took another one's advice and replaced 1/4 cup flour w/ corn meal. I even used mozz. instead of cheddar and there was tons of flavor. I'll make this often!

Jan's Sunday Morning Doughnuts

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2010
I use this recipe when making doughnuts for the first time and WOOHOO! These were simple to assemble and the finished product looked just like the picture- Imagine That!! they reminded me of a cloud when i bit into one- very lite and sweet. And as an added bonus they freeze beautifully! I'll make these all the time from now on. There's no danger of having a doughnut fix and not being able to get it if you have these bad boys on hand!!!

Beef and Bean Chimichangas

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2010
I loved the method of crisping the chimichangas in the oven. I liked the flavor of the beef and the cheese is soooo melty from being heated for so long. My only dislike was the beef and bean combination, but thats a personal preferance. I recomend this to all to try!!!

Orange Spiced Chicken

Just ok. I followed other reviews and swapped the oj and soy sauce measurments. I ended with a sauce that was too thin to spoon over the chicken. It was really salty a well. I wont attempt this again
