Bermuda Spinach Salad

Fantastic recipe! The only changes I made were to cut the sugar to about 1/2C and brown my own croutons in the bacon fat. Awesome and loved by all. Thank you for sharing!

Slow Cooker Guisado Verde

We really enjoyed this over rice. I used the ingredients as written, but cooked it on the stovetop as more of a stew, leaving the pork in tender chunks. I also used chicken broth, though less than called for so the consistency would be thicker. It was very flavorful, somewhat tart without being overly so. I can imagine several ways to use this as a filling or topping and look forward to making it again. Thank you!

Peppered Shrimp Alfredo

Excellent, quick recipe. Family loved it, too. I've used both shrimp and chicken with tasty results. I usually make my own Alfredo sauce for this and sometimes sub fat-free half and half for the cream. It always turns out wonderfully. Thanks for posting this delicious recipe

The Best Lemon Bars

The basic recipe is very good, but I prefer it with a few modifications, some noted in earlier reviews. Add 1/2 tsp salt to the crust and double the filling, using the zest of two lemons and at least 1 cup (preferably 1-1/4 C)of fresh-squeezed lemon juice. You may need to cook the bars another 5 minutes for the additional filling. My family LOVES these!

Sweet Potato Pecan Pie

This was my first attempt at a sweet potato pie. It was very good, though I think pumpkin is still my first choice for the holidays. Thanks for sharing this recipe and expanding my repertoire of delicious pies.

Beef Pot Roast

We really enjoyed this dish. The prep was quick and easy and the result was moist, flavorful and delicious. I added vegetables for the final 1.5 hours and used some seasonings on the roast itself, otherwise I followed the recipe. I will use this recipe whenever I'm in the mood for pot roast. Thanks!

Hearty Halibut Chowder

Mid-Eastern Chicken Thighs

This is one of those great recipes; few ingredients, simple and quick with a surprisingly tasty result. I probably used a lot more curry than called for, but we like things a little spicier. I added some green beans the last few minutes and I could see a number of vegetables options that would work with this. Over jasmine rice, it was enjoyed by all. Thanks for this great simple recipe!

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

As a longtime lover of pumpkin bread, I had high hopes for this recipe. Even with a few modifications to make it a healthier option, we really enjoyed it. After reading some of the other reviews, I used 1/2 apple sauce, 1/2 c oil, cut the sugar down to 2 cups, one white, one brown, upped the spices a bit, omitted the cloves and used 2 c AP flour and 1-1/2 c of spelt flour. I also added 1 tsp of baking powder. Lovely texture, moist and flavorful. My daughter took it to her classroom and it was a hit. Thanks for sharing this recipe!
