Red Cabbage With Apricots And Balsamic Vinegar

Reviewed: May 8, 2002
Easy, great colour not just for "high holidays" I served it with Tuna steaks in a wasabi marinate, you can do it ahead and just heat it up in a skillet a large one! Real crowd pleaser, not really kid oriented, it's cabbage remember.

Fabulous Fish

Salty and fishy.. but easy.. the food processor is the way to go for many of these tapenades, terrines, and mousses.. Not really for kids... big kids seem to like it though

Oven Roasted Potatoes

use fresh herbs... parisenne potatoes work well, if not white potatoes leave the skins on... Add a bit more oil, Excellent accompaniment to any meal.

Smoked Salmon Mousse

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2002
Easy, simple and good.. if garnishing with caviar the black ink seems to bleed in, Bring out of fridge about 30 mins or so before, so it can soften up a tad.

Butternut Squash Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2002
Fantastic! Whips up great, if possible use chicken broth or stock instead of bouillon cubes. It's very thick, I made mine the night before, and the warmed it up on the stove the next night. I garnished with fresh parsley and paprika. A big hit..

Broccoli With Lemon Almond Butter

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2002
Steaming is the best if you have a flavor essence area in your steamer you could put lemon zest or lemon juice in there to give it more of a lemon flavor. Nice change to Broccoli without all the calories of cheese sauces..
