I'm giving this a 4 star based solely on taste (which is really the most important thing!). I received nothing but good reviews from my family when I made this yesterday. However, it does not look anything like your typical pecan pie. I even arranged halved pecans on top in a cute little arrangement, but during cooking they all sank down into the pie which left the top with just a plain looking brown crust. One piece of advice that I followed from other reviewers is that if you have a deep dish pie crust, the filling will not fill the crust adequately. I doubled the recipe but was left with a bit of filling left over. Next time I wouldn't quite double it, but it definitely needs more than what is listed if you have a deep dish. I also lowered the bake temp and increased time. Would definitely make again.
