Penne with Spicy Vodka Tomato Cream Sauce

I made this dish for me and my husband. It was easy to make. I made a few changes which included adding 4 oz. of cream cheese, half pint of half and half, and an added splash of vodka. When I make this again, I think it needs some onion and lots more garlic. Even tho I added more vodka, we could not taste it, so if you don't have any I think it would be fine to omit it and still have a great dish. This dish was really creamy and hearty when I made it, but the next day when we took it to work it was even better. So, make plenty for leftovers. I would make this dish again but,it's not restaurant quality like some folks say, but it is pretty good.

Grilled Lamb with Brown Sugar Glaze

I made this last night for a special valentines dinner for 2. I had never cooked or eat lamb before, but my boyfriend loves lamb. I was nervous about serving this since I had no idea what lamb was "suppose" to taste like. He said he has eaten a lot of lamb prepared different ways and this was by far the best he had. He said it was good enough to be on a restaurant menu. I thought it was good too. It was not too sweet like some reviews I read. I added some olive oil to mine to make a paste/marinade and let it set overnight. They were really good and made a gorgeous presentation along side the asparagus mashed potatoes, salad and crusty bread.

Chess Pie

I am rating this according to my (new )husband. When he told me he wanted a Chess pie I knew I had big shoes to fill because he bragged on his first wife's pie making skills. I was nervous about making this pie because I have NEVER made a chess pie before..after 1 slice he said it was the best he has ever eaten. It was not runny or grainy, it was perfect!!!! Thanks for this recipe

Bread Pudding with Whiskey Sauce III

This is a very wonderful dish. It came out of the oven looking dry, but once I added the whisky sauce it came alive!! I served it warm. All my guest raved over the creamyness of it. This would be a great dish to serve at any occassion or just a night at home with a cup of coffee.
