Have been a dieitian, but after leaving the profession and setting up a cafe have more or less defined an area of cooking which suits my nutritional and foodie food interests. I actually live in NZ in the country with the cafe 30km away.

Asian and Indian curries, yeast and quickbreads, lasagnes and other pasta dishes and salads,salads and salads
My favorite family cooking traditions
none really - I think I have done a 180º move away from them!
My cooking triumphs
Double tomato, pumpkin seed cheese scones; crepes Suzette, home made pasta, apricot and capsicum chutney etc etc
My cooking tragedies
Various failures due to ignoring the oven timer, forgetting to grease the brownie tin, leaviing the water of the double boiler to evaporate completely,
fortunately these oversights rarely occur these days!
