Roasted Cauliflower Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2007
A really delicious way to use cauliflower. Nice and hot and filling on a winter's evening. I agree with the contributor, though - lighten up on the salt. I halved it, and I still find it salty.

Italian Green Beans

Made just as recipe says using Newman's Own Balsamic Vinaigrette. Midway through, I threw in 2 cups cooked chicken, but the bean would've been lovely on their own. Excellent!

Used the exact ingredients but sauteed in a wok with the sauce after steaming cabbage. Served hot - excellent!

Spaghetti Carbonara II

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2004
First time turned out excellent. I did everything but the egg ahead of time, then reheated and "egg-ed" just before serving about 2 hours later. No probs whatsoever.

Absolutely delicious and so easy! I used about 7 frozen boneless skinless chicken breasts and it worked just as well.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2013
As everyone else has said, very nice, crisp outside and chewy inside. They kept their shape very well. Lovely, rich taste. Next time I may add a bit of cream of tartar as someone suggested to make them crackle a bit on top.

Chef John's Turkey Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2013
Really tasty and easy to prepare. Make sure you take the time to separate all the ground meat before it cooks. My first attempt was a little chunky, and therefore, a smidge drier than it would be otherwise.

As suggested, use 3 cups flour in dough + 1/2 cup to roll. I used 1/4 margarine and 3/4 butter as it's what I had on hand. Excellent.

Chocolate Crinkles II

Cake-like and chocolatey - very nice! I agree with others - don't skimp on the powdered sugar. I actually put another little scoop on top once they were on the cookie tray before cooking.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2014
Very nice! I followed recipe 100%. I thought the salt ratio was perfect, as is. I sifted the flour and dry ingredients several times as others have suggested. I let the batter sit for about a half an hour before cooking. Just like I remember from my childhood!
