Sticky Chicken

Boiling Water Pie Crust

Tangy Red Cabbage

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Very nice! I followed recipe 100%. I thought the salt ratio was perfect, as is. I sifted the flour and dry ingredients several times as others have suggested. I let the batter sit for about a half an hour before cooking. Just like I remember from my childhood!

For a first ever attempt at a flan, it turned out well though I seem to have had the same problem as others with the caramelized sugar sticking. Next time I'm going to try powdered sugar, just for the heck of it. I found that even without the cream cheese it had a lovely thick, creamy textur (not yucky and gelatinous).

Cake-like and chocolatey - very nice! I agree with others - don't skimp on the powdered sugar. I actually put another little scoop on top once they were on the cookie tray before cooking.

As suggested, use 3 cups flour in dough + 1/2 cup to roll. I used 1/4 margarine and 3/4 butter as it's what I had on hand. Excellent.

English Flapjack

Very disappointed! I'm not kidding, I've had to chisel these things out of the pan. I shall find a use for the remains, but not at all the chewy bars I've had in the UK. I suspect too much corn syrup and too much cooking time. I'll not make these again.

Pebber Nodder (Danish Christmas Cookies)

I was very disappointed by the result. Fairly boring, dry shortbreads, really. I found that the cardamom and cinammon did very little to pep them up. I won't make again, and probably will not add to my cookie trays, despite having about 80 of them!

Roasted Cauliflower Soup

A really delicious way to use cauliflower. Nice and hot and filling on a winter's evening. I agree with the contributor, though - lighten up on the salt. I halved it, and I still find it salty.
