About this Cook
I was married in June 2009 and discovered that cooking dinners was a great joy for me. I'm a stay-at-home wife and I love it! I graduated from college with a Music BA and Psych Minor.
My favorite things to cook
Winter soul food. I'm truley a summer loving girl and the only thing I like about winter is the cooking. I also love desserts.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Putting Garlic and Onions in everything. Lots of homemade dried spices and herbs.
My cooking triumphs
Making a perfect pie crust!
My cooking tragedies
Usually my severly messy kitchen after a cooked meal. Flour all over the floor and food flown everywhere. That's why we got a dog though! :)

Crackers a la Yvette
These are amazing! I used Oyster Crackers and Vegatable oil because that's what I hand on hand. They turned out amazing! Increased the red pepper flakes for more spice.

Brazilian Fish Stew
Made this for lunch today and it was AMAZING! My husband and I really enjoyed it and we are not big fish eaters - so it will be a great way to add fish to our diet. Few variations: I added Sour Cream to make the soup base a bit more creamier. Also added about a teaspoon of Curry to spice it up. Didn't buy fresh cilentro but used dried. Will make again!

Garlic Mayonnaise
I made this recipe as written and it tasted like pure garlic. I will probably make again, but with only 1 or 2 cloves of garlic.
