About this Cook
I'm a 17-year old art student obsessed with baking, knitting, painting and cute things.
My favorite things to cook
I LOVE baking cupcakes (hence the name)!! And decorating them. And eating them. Cupcakes are great!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I've been cooking since I was 4 with my mom. My grandmother is from OK, and you always have a home cooked meal there! I've learned so many things from the women in my family about cooking and baking as well as art, and I give them full credit for my passion and interest in food!
My cooking tragedies
One time, I mixed baking powder into my chocolate chip cookies instead of baking soda. I thought it was weird when it was sticky and smooth rather than the usual lumpyish dough. I took them out of the oven, and I had muffins! They were still really good. I'll count it as a tragedy and a triumph. :)

To Die For Blueberry Muffins
These were great! I made 8 BIG muffins about an hour ago, and they're already gone! My dad and boyfriend scarffed them all down! Mine didn't look as pretty as the picture, but with a delicious, moist muffin like that, 'pretty' doesn't matter! I did have to use abou 1/2 cup more of milk, but when baking muffins and breads and cakes in certain climates, sometimes you need more, sometimes you need less. I'll have to make chocolate chip ones for my brother soon! Five stars!!!

Three Hundred Chocolate Chip Cookies
Dummy me forgot to put in the vanilla and my usual tsp of cocoa powder, but these still turned out great! Instant hit with my boyfriend and his buddies-- and he's picky when it comes to food, Gordan Ramsey is his personal hero. :) They made pleanty of HUGE cookies, but I found that pressing them with the heal of my hand made them spread out evenly. I'll definately be using this recipe again!!
