Whole Wheat Ginger Snaps

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2010
Awesome. Loved the whole-wheat flavor. My boyfriend claimed he could tell they were "healthier" but he still said he loved them and they disappeared pretty fast!

Morning Glory Muffins I

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2011
With applesauce, no oil, 1 c whole wheat and 1 c white flour, 2 eggs and 1 egg white, and reduced sugar slightly - these are good! I think the walnuts add a lot. I wouldn't give them 5 stars, but especially for a healthy treat, nice recipe.

Bf loved this, with less tomato sauce and added cinnamon and cayenne.

No-Sugar-Added Blueberry and Banana Wheat Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2011
These are very good, and done exactly as the recipe says, they taste like what they are: healthy, whole wheat, blueberry-banana muffins. They are not sweet, and I might not give them as a gift unless I knew the recipient would appreciate the healthy, whole-wheat taste.

Glazed Apple Cream Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2010
Good, but not great. I'd recommend taking a piece, smashing it up, and putting it in the microwave. Maybe I wasn't paying attention, but in the fridge?? Didn't make sense to us.

Vegetarian Moroccan Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2011
I loved this! If you're having vegans/vegetarians over for dinner and don't know what to serve, don't hesitate to go with this. I visited a friend who was doing just that, and it was perfect. She doesn't like lemon so I think she left the zest out and just squeezed a bit over the cilantro at the end, and served yogurt on the side. I'd leave out the olives but that's personal taste. Served with a salad of butter lettuce, slivered almonds, and pomegranate seeds and bread sticks and followed by a fig-cranberry-honey compote with almond ice cream, regular ice cream, or greek yogurt as preferred. It was a wonderful meal!

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2011
This is great! Don't add the water, and if you use anything other than granny smith apples, forget the white sugar completely. I cut the recipe in half to make 6 servings in a smaller pan, so I only cut the topping down by 1/4. Everyone loved it!

Coconut Cream Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2010
Great!! Only suggestion - definitely add whipped cream on top, whip it fresh, but don't add sugar to it. The pie is sweet enough!

Chocolate Pudding Fudge Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2012
Loved it! I did bake it 50 minutes, and the top bit of the cake stuck in the pan and had tons of chocolate chips in it, so maybe it wasn't quite long enough, but it was incredibly moist and went perfectly with vanilla ice cream!

Toasted Garlic Bread

delicious! A regular loaf of Italian bread sliced in 2 inch pieces 2 small ends cut off is perfect!

Mini Cheesecakes

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2011
These were very good. My guests liked them more than I did. Make sure to use the mini vanilla wafers if you do mini muffin cups - the regular sized ones work, but they take up too much space.

Really, Truly Gorgeous Dried Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2011
I'd do just cranberries and one other fruit, or maybe both figs and apricots, and serve with ice cream or greek yogurt

Basil, Roasted Peppers and Monterey Jack Cornbread

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2011
This was great. Followed it almost exactly, but I did use the Jiffy cornbread mix and make muffins. It doesn't need the extra cheese on top, in my opinion. And it's best served warm out of the oven, just make sure to wait a bit so that they will come out whole from the muffin tins. Heating them up later didn't work quite as well.

Balsamic Marinated Chicken Breasts

This was good - not being a chicken eater, I can't rave, but my bf liked it, and I thought it smelled amazing. Next time I'll use it for veggies. It also made a lot!

Cake Balls

Can't go wrong here, though mine weren't as pretty as the pictures. I froze the cake balls before dipping in chocolate, but they still started disintegrating.

Chicken Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2011
Good, but as other reviewers suggested, a little bland. It came out well because of additions, but the recipe as it stands needs something else.

I think it needed more lemon, and I probably should have seasoned with more salt, but still good.
