Big Soft Ginger Cookies
Excellent cookies, definitely recommend with a few changes. Substituted orange juice for the water, and 1/2 cup butter and 1/4 cup butter flavored shortening for the margarine. Cooked only 7 minutes, and let rest 5 (the first batch I cooked 8-9 and they were great straight out of the oven, but lost some of their chewiness after they cooled). Also just as a note, people commented that they tasted more like a chewy mix between sugar cookies and ginger snaps... if you like a more spicy cookie, double the spice like others suggested. Even so, delicious!

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken
This recipe was a bit too spicy and strong on thyme for my taste. For a more mild dish that still has a little kick, try these measurements: 1 tsp black pepper 1/4 cayenne 1/2 tsp paprika 1 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp onion powder 1/2 tsp thyme 1 tsp parsley I used on thin sliced chicken breasts for a stronger spice flavor, and served with extra lime. Yum!

Yummy Korean Glass Noodles (Jap Chae)
This turned out great. The first time I made this I followed the recipe exactly, perhaps adding a bit more brown sugar to fit my taste. The second time, I just boiled the vermicelli as I would regular pasta - it cooked WAY faster. I also skipped the skillet part, because the first time my noodles stuck and it made no difference in taste. Instead, I just added a bit of sesame oil - a little goes a long way here - and tossed the noodles with the sesame seeds. The oil seemed to bring all the flavors together much better than the first time.
