About this Cook
I love to cook. I hardly use known recipes as I like to "create" my own. If it tastes good in the end, I know I did it right! lol :D I am a serious carnivor so all I usually cook is meat. It's just the variant spices that are added that changes the "recipe". I never measure anything either! Well... not while I'm "creating a masterpiece!" I'm 32, and a single father of 2 wonderful children (my step son, Josh, is almost 6 and Evan is almost 2). They USUALLY like what I cook but, as all parents know, kids can be really picky sometimes. :-)
My favorite things to cook
Roast Beef in the Crock Pot! I LOVE using Crock Pots! There's so many things you can do with them! Haven't tried a Ham yet but, I'm sure that won't be to far away. I also love to cook Omlettes (or however that's spelled! lol). When I make 'em for "guests", they usually tell me that they're the best they've ever had! Even better than what they'd get from a restaurant. Sorry. Tootin my own horn a little on that one. :P
My favorite family cooking traditions
Don't have any traditions... yet. Once my sons get older, I'll be more willing to involve them in the wonderful world of the kitchen. For now, though, they enjoy sitting on the side-lines, ingesting the fragrant aromas coming from the kitchen.
My cooking triumphs
Steak On The Barbie! Always been worried that I wouldn't cook it enough as I like my steak cooked Medium Rare. Last time I tried, they turned out perfect! I guess the "cut" has a lot to do with the end results too, though.
My cooking tragedies
LOL The only "tragedy" that I can think of is when I almost set the house on fire! Was cooking frozen pizza in the oven and didn't check to make sure that it was clean before-hand. Turns out that there was a bit of grease on the bottom and... well... I bet you can figure out the rest of THAT story! :O

Creamed Peas and Onions
My mother used to make this for the family when I was younger. Loved it! The only variation was that she added sliced, hard boiled eggs. And it was served on home made Garlic Toast.
