Strawberry Spinach Salad I

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2012
This is great! I knew I would like it, but I really loved it. I took it to a potluck and just like everyone else here has experienced, everyone loved it and wanted the recipe. For myself, I think I will cut back on the sugar quite a bit next time, but it tastes amazing!

Leftover Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2011
I used other people's advice and I cooked my noodles first. I also used two cups of milk and added pepper and Mrs. Dash for flavor. It turned out great!

Crab Quiche

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2011
I was excited when I realized I had all the ingredients to make this quiche. Imagine my disappointment when I went to the cupboard to discover my teenage daughter had eaten my can of crab!!! No worries, I made this quiche by the recipe, but added a bunch of chopped mushrooms intead of crab. Mushroom and cheese quiche, wonderful! This is such a light fluffy and tasty quiche, and the first I've ever made! Thank you!

Seven Grain Bread I

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2011
This bread is delicious! I set my bread to a light crust setting, and instead of dry milk powder, I just substituted some real milk in for some of the water. I also added a handful of rolled oats. The bread came out fantastic. It is a heavier bread, but super tasty!

Best Bread Machine Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2011
This recipe worked very well for me and the bread was delicious. I added a lot of chopped garlic and herbs from my garden (rosmary, thyme and sage), and I added a tiny bit of extra salt in hopes it would prevent the bread from falling. However, I found the top of my bread got a little wonky, but it could also be because I used the "light" setting. I far prefer a slightly fallen top with a soft crust! :)

Curried Quinoa

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2011
This was very easy to make and it was delicious! I thought it sounded too simple to taste so great, but wow was I wrong. Fabulous dish, easy to work with. I didn't have the right kind of chili, so I just used regular chili powder and it was still awesome. Thank you for a great fast recipe. I took it to a potluck and everyone that tried it really liked it.

Slow Cooker Enchiladas

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2011
I'm afraid I'm not keen on this receipe. I don't think there is anything wrong with it, it just isn't my thing. It was very saucy, cheesy... and had a lot of salsa. I think maybe I should have used a much smaller jar of salsa for my particular tastes. I don't mind that the corn tortillas get a little soft because that's how real enchiladas are. I am rating this at a four because I feel the only thing wrong was my own tastes.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2011
This is now one of my favorite recipes. My boyfriend loves it, and I took it to a potluck lunch at work and everyone was asking about it. I do make minor changes. I use a can of chicken broth instead of water, and I use only one package of biscuit dough. I find you need to add the biscuit dough one hour before the end, and you need to gently press the chunks under the sauce now and again to ensure they cook properly. Avoid stirring too much when you first add the dough or you will turn it into mush.

Chicken and Apple Curry

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2010
I loved this recipe, but did change it a smidge. I used 3 tablespoons of curry instead of just 1. I also used a can of coconut milk plus the cup of milk to make it more saucy. I cooked this in a skillet with cubed chicken breast. It turned out great! I've been looking for a curry recipe just like this for a long time, thank you!

Best Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2010
I love this! I read the reviews about it being dry, so I added an extra can of soup and nearly a can full of milk. I like my casseroles saucy! It turned out cheesy and satisfying, very good :) I love the crunchy chips on top.

No Bake Cookies III

This is so much like a recipe my Mom used to make when I was a child, except she didn't use peanut butter. I love these cookies, very tasty. I was craving chocolate, and these are a great treat!

Broccoli Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2010
I found this very bland, it needs a LOT more flavor. It would be a good base or starting point but needs something added. The unfortunate thing is now I have a LOT of this casserole and I don't really like it. Hopefully my daughter will eat it for me! UPDATE: My daughter really liked this casserole, and I found after two days in the fridge, I liked it a whole lot more myself. I will probably make this again but experiment with flavorings.

Ooey-Gooey Cinnamon Buns

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2010
I ADORE this recipe. These are a very soft and fresh tasting bread. I've always really liked them. I think my only wish would be to have more of the sticky stuff from the pan actually be on the buns... I often take a knife and scoop up some of it out of the pan when I take a bun out, and spread it on the top of the bun!

Mom's Baking Powder Biscuits

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2010
I lost my own baking powder biscuit recipe and needed a new one. This one makes biscuits that are exactly what I wanted. I love to eat these hot out of the oven with butter and jam! Tasty!
