Spicy Shrimp Creole

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2003
Good. I added some green pepper and more hot sauce. I will use less crushed tomatoes next time. The ratio of mixture to shrimp wasn't quite right, so I will either lessen the tomatoes or add more shrimp. Makes a lot and tastes great. My husband loved this!

Green Salad with Cranberry Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2006
The first time I made this I had to use sweetened and dried cranberries - it was good and sweet and we loved it. This last time I used fresh cranberries and it was really tart. We loved it the first time so much that I added sugar to the fresh cranberry dressing.

Fantastic! These are so soft. When I bit into a warm cookie it practically melted in my mouth. The middle was light and airy.

Charley's Slow Cooker Mexican Style Meat

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2006
This was yummy and easy. I used 3 peppers and held back on the hot sauce. I think I will use more hot sauce next time as it wasn't as spicy as we like it. I will definitely make this again.

Key West Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2003
Very good. I cut up the chicken in smaller pieces and sauted on the stove. Served over rice with a side of green beans. My husband and I both loved it. I think next time I will make up a little extra sauce for the rice.

Quick, easy and good. I liked that it made up a smallish amout. I can make it for just me and my DH and not have tons of leftovers. Looking forward to making it again!

Pasta e Fagioli a la Chez Ivano

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2003
This is a wonderful recipe. I didn't want to make as much soup as this recipe called for so I only used 1lb beef, 1 onion, a few celery stalks and 1 can of beans. I used everything else about like it was called for except for the consomme. I added a little red pepper and I cut up some fresh tomatoes to add in. I might try using Italian sausage instead of ground beef next time. My husband would highly recommend this.

This was wonderful. My husband always uses steak sauce on steak - but he made an exception for this recipe. We both highly recommend it.

Baked Pork Spring Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2006
This was tasty. I need to find better wrappers but the filling is great. I used coleslaw mix instead of cabbage and carrots to cut down on the prep time. I didn't use any cilantro - don't really care for that flavor. I just used plain water to seal the wrappers. I did flip the spring rolls half way through baking and put it on broil for a short time at the end. Warmed the leftovers up in our toaster oven. Yum!

Asian Orange Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2006
This has great flavor and I will certainly make it again. It smelled so good while marinating - it was torture to have to wait to eat. The recipe calls for WAY to much cornstach though. Be careful when adding it - a little at a time is the best way to go.

Ultimate Spicy Spud Soup

We loved this! I only used 1 tsp of cayenne but I will use a little more next time. I used all chicken broth - no water. Used a couple tablespoons butter and the end. Wonderful flavor. I added one box of chopped spinach to this. Yummy!

Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: May 12, 2003
The first time I made it I thought it was good but a tad dry so I added some milk to the sour cream/soup mixture to make it a little creamier the next time. I like to add half of the cheese to the mixture as well and stir it in with the potatoes. I usually bake this at a higher temp, at leat 350, for 1 hour. Then I take it out, stir it up, top with remaining cheese and let it bake until the cheese bubbles. Yum. When I make it for people that don't like onions, I just add some onion powder. Make sure you add salt and pepper to taste.

Angel Chicken Pasta

Fantastic. My husband and I both loved it. The chicken turned out so moist and the sauce was wonderful. To make it quicker sometime, I may cut up the chicken into bite size pieces and saute. I highly recommend this.

S.O.P.P.

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2003
This was good and easy. I cooked my potatoes mostly in the microwave so I could use less oil. I added red pepper and some hot sauce to zip it up. I added cheddar to it at the very end. My husband and I both liked this a lot. I'll be making in again soon.
