Cranberry Raspberry Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2007
OH SO GOOD!!! I modified by using Cabernet instead of merlot, but still delicious! I even used the leftovers to flavor a filling for a chocolate cake. I've made cranberry-raspberry sauce for years without the wine, this addition takes the flavor out of this world. I will absolutely make this again, and again!!

Amy's Cilantro Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2008
Excellent, fresh tasting and delicious. Rave reviews and many asked for recipe at picnic we went too. I added a bit too much lime juice and will cut down on that next time (added more than recipe called for). Can't wait to try on shrimp on grill!

Brownie Torte

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2008
Delicious & easy. Big hit at bbq. I cheated and used a brownie mx. I put it in a torte pan and spread the sauce into the middle with strawberries circled and dark chocolate ganache swirled ontop. Very pretty and none left over!

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Yum! Omitted the nuts and added chocolate chips. Eaten very quickly - even my fruit only eating 15 month old! Delicious will make again.

Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2008
Fabulous recipe. I modified slightly to ensure it fit into the crust. I only used 3 eggs, regular feta (added garlic and herb spice mix instead), and fresh mushrooms. So good in fact, I pureed some of the spinach and mushroom mixture for my 7 month old and he couldn't eat it fast enough. I will make this over and over again.

Braised Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2008
Very good recipe. I modified per another reviewers suggestions. I added onions, mushrooms and fresh garlic also a bit of brown sugar to help caramelize the onions and mushrooms. I mixed the vinegar which I cut down a little with the tomatoes and spices then added that. I served with rice. Everyone in the family ate it without complaint. I will continue to make this dish.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2008
Excellent recipe. Slight modifications to our tastes. I added some garlic & herb seasoning, green beans, corn and cream of celery to help thicken. I used more chicken stock because of the additional vegetables it would have been too dry. The entire pie was completely gone and my husband wants this again and again. Luckily with the extra broth and vegetables, I have enough left over for one maybe two more pies! Delicious!

Buckeyes I

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2008
So good, I had to give the majority away for fear of eating them all myself! The only trouble I had was with the technique of getting the chocolate to look nice. Some of them were pretty interesting looking. Definitely need to keep the pb balls frozen, as soon as they start to get condensation on them the chocolate would not stick well. Will keep and make every year!

Parmesan Fondue

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2009
Fantastic recipe, received rave reviews and it makes a ton. Altered slightly only because I picked up the wrong cheese at the store - a mix of parmesan, asiago and romano. Also added a few slices of swiss. I will be passing this along and keeping for the next time I need a nice appetizer. I served with sourdough and brown bread bowls. Next time, I will chop up some chives for a pretty presentation.

Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2009
Delicious soup! Family raved even my 19month old ate 2 helpings. Definitely a keeper. The only modifications I made were boiling the potatoes in the stock, adding leftover cooked carrots to up the veggie content and cheddar cheese, then I pureed most of it and added it back to the pot. With the turkey bacon, dollop of sour cream, chives and cheddar cheese on top it was out of this world. I also made cheddar biscuits to go along.

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: May 7, 2008
Delicious, easy, and fast. Would be even better if I had marinated it longer. I made the recipe as stated but only cooked 3 chicken breasts and had enough left over for dipping.

Scrambled Egg Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2009
Easy and versatile! I loved the idea of this recipe. I added bacon, shredded cheddar, & leftover diced chicken florentine (spinach and chicken). Cooked for about 20 minutes and it was perfect! All kids ate it and they looked very cute. I will be making this and passing it along. Great idea!

Angel Hair Pasta with Shrimp and Basil

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2009
5 stars because all of my children ate it without complaint! I used tomatoes I'd frozen from the summer - diced and pureed. Basil I'd pureed and frozen from the summer, some oregano, parsley, garlic and a dash of salt/pepper and season salt. Simmered until some of the water evaporated then I added the shrimp right at the end. Served with grated romano cheese - Delicious! I can't wait for leftovers tomorrow!

Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
No need to buy the packs of seasoning any longer! Fantastic blend of spices. I doubled it and used about 3tbsp for 1 lb of ground turkey. Makes me feel good knowing what is exactly going into my dish. Thanks for the great recipe.

Dill, Feta and Garlic Cream Cheese Spread

Reviewed: May 31, 2008
very easy, very versatile, very tasty! What more could you ask for? I used garlic and herb seasoning in place of the garlic and LOTS of fresh dill. I will keep this as a go to dip recipe. Next time I will add more feta to bring out the feta flavor more.

Fra Diavolo Sauce With Pasta

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2001
Excellent for a quick weeknight dinner. Both my husband and I like our dishes a bit spicy, so besides adding the red pepper flakes, I also added some Emeril's essence when I sauted the shrimp. I omitted the scallops but the dish did not miss them. And I added a bit less garlic. Overall an excellent delicious dish.
