Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2008
Excellent recipe. Slight modifications to our tastes. I added some garlic & herb seasoning, green beans, corn and cream of celery to help thicken. I used more chicken stock because of the additional vegetables it would have been too dry. The entire pie was completely gone and my husband wants this again and again. Luckily with the extra broth and vegetables, I have enough left over for one maybe two more pies! Delicious!

Delicious Black Bean Burritos

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2008
Great recipe, a hit with the family even my 17 mth old ate it! I altered it a bit by adding fajita seasoning, green peppers, fresh garlic and a bit of sour cream to the mixture. I will be making this again - minus the fajita seasoning, I think it was too overpowering for the dish.

Braised Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2008
Very good recipe. I modified per another reviewers suggestions. I added onions, mushrooms and fresh garlic also a bit of brown sugar to help caramelize the onions and mushrooms. I mixed the vinegar which I cut down a little with the tomatoes and spices then added that. I served with rice. Everyone in the family ate it without complaint. I will continue to make this dish.

Italian Wedding Soup II

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2008
Good soup for a warm day. Easy too! I made in my crock-pot, broiled the meatballs (used turkey) for a few minutes, added a bit of oregano and also mixed 2 eggs + a few tablespoons of romano cheese and swirled it into the soup for 1 minute. Made a few mistakes, put the onion in the soup instead of the meatballs and added garlic which should have gone into the meatballs as well. But overall, a good recipe!

Restaurant Style Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2008
Creamy and easy. Will definitely be making this over kraft! Only modification was using american cheese slices instead of the processed cheese and also chunked up cheddar. Very good recipe!

Seven Layer Tortilla Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2008
Easy & fast. Added more to the recipe, ground turkey, black olives and avacado. A little dry, maybe I need more salsa? Good otherwise.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Yum! Omitted the nuts and added chocolate chips. Eaten very quickly - even my fruit only eating 15 month old! Delicious will make again.

Incredibly Cheesy Turkey Meatloaf

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2008
Nice recipe, tasted good. Cubed the cheese and did not have a problem with it over-flowing. Everyone ate it without complaint.

Gourmet Thai Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2008
Really good, but made some changes. I skipped the chili oil and cilantro and forgot the ginger! I did use a pre-made crust and added yellow peppers. It really was good, I will keep making this as everyone loved it even my 1 yr old!

Brownie Torte

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2008
Delicious & easy. Big hit at bbq. I cheated and used a brownie mx. I put it in a torte pan and spread the sauce into the middle with strawberries circled and dark chocolate ganache swirled ontop. Very pretty and none left over!

Amy's Cilantro Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2008
Excellent, fresh tasting and delicious. Rave reviews and many asked for recipe at picnic we went too. I added a bit too much lime juice and will cut down on that next time (added more than recipe called for). Can't wait to try on shrimp on grill!

Green Bean Blue Cheese Salad

Reviewed: May 31, 2008
Nice combination of flavors, I was the only one who would eat it though. I probably won't make it again simply because I couldn't eat the entire recipe myself!

Really nice, easy to make recipe. All the flavors went together well. Made it day before picnic and added the cheese before serving. I will make this over and over again.

Dill, Feta and Garlic Cream Cheese Spread

Reviewed: May 31, 2008
very easy, very versatile, very tasty! What more could you ask for? I used garlic and herb seasoning in place of the garlic and LOTS of fresh dill. I will keep this as a go to dip recipe. Next time I will add more feta to bring out the feta flavor more.

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: May 7, 2008
Delicious, easy, and fast. Would be even better if I had marinated it longer. I made the recipe as stated but only cooked 3 chicken breasts and had enough left over for dipping.

Delicious, only altered by using bisquick and adding some garlic & herb seasoning. I've made it several times and always turns out great.

Not a big hit. Made as stated, felt like I wasted a bunch of ice-cream. Maybe will try leftovers on something else?

Egyptian Koshari

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2008
Wasn't a big hit. I would have to have authentic Koshari tell the difference. Husband ate it, kids did not and leftovers are still in fridge. Maybe pureeing the sauce will help or maybe more sauce and less noodles? Probably won't make it again.
