Slow Cooker Ham

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2011
Five stars for ease of preparation alone! Absolutley one can use a precooked smoked ham. I used one that was 7.5 lbs, added 1/3 C water and let it go on low for two hours. Excellent!

Restaurant Style Beef and Broccoli

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2011
Terrific tasting and easy to prepare. A couple of cautions though: First, 3/4 lb of meat is about half the amount my four would eat. Second I would caution the use of medium high heat for a total of 8 minutes with 3/4 lbs beef. Following those directions the yummy sauce evaporated. Of course it depends on your equipment.

Slow Cooker Adobo Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2011
Five stars if you do what some others are doing with the pepper corns, bay leaves that you just got from Penzy's and coconut vinegar that can be found in a FilAm store, perhaps other Asian markets or on line. Sooo good!

London Broil

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2010
This worked great for me. Yes MSG is used as a tenderizer. I need to plan for a gang though so I bought a 5 lb cut of meat, doubled the wet and kept the dry ingredients the same except a bit more lemon pepper. I also suggest lime juice instead of lemon.

Tequila Cocktail Sauce

I first printed this off in 2002. It's been my go to sauce ever since.

Pineapple Bacon Burgers

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2010
I've made these twice now and the family loves them! Here's how to keep them from falling apart: Form the burgers and then put them in the fridge for 30 minutes. What happens is the fat in the meat gets soft from handling. Letting it chill for a while will firm the burgers up for cooking. I do not agree with cooking the bacon and pineapple seperately. Just be sure to cook with indirect heat and let the flavors meld.

Slow Cooker Kielbasa Stew

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2010
Deceivingly delicious! Be sure to use kielbasa that is not precooked. I went with Kisslemans kraut because it expressly says on the package not to rinse. To keep it simple and quick remember this: Sausage and potatoes; one inch pieces. Apples and onion; half inch slices. Do everything else as suggested and you'll love it!
