Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole
I gave it four stars as it sounds very nice. My only problem is that in South Africa we don't get frozen hash browns, would it work if I made and cooked my own first and then combined it with all the ingredients. Do the frozen hash browns in the US come already cooked or do you fry them first before adding to the ingredients.

The amount of sugar added to the Kumquats was just right, but I also added half a cup of water to make it into a syrup rather than being thick like jam. I served the Kumquats hot over vanilla ice cream. I like the idea of serving them with waffles and crepes, a sort of modern crepe suzette.

French Baguettes
By mistake I added the egg yolk to the mix and then had to add some more flour to get to the correct consistancy. I also added about half tsp of salt to the eggwash. The bread turned out to be fantastic, crispy crust and very soft in the middle, so that was a good mistake. I have written this down in my own special recipe cook book.
