Jelly-Filled Muffins

Absolutely fantastic. Only substitution, used apricot preserves (sugar free). Normally I can eyeball a recipe to "sense" if it makes enough. But, I was letting my 4 & 3 yo grandkids help, so didn't think about it. Was disappointed only made 8 muffins. But, so now, we have an excuse to make cookies tomorrow. ha ha. I did not have a problem with the batter being thick. So don't know why others did. Thanks for the recipe. I will use again for sure.

Fruit Cocktail Drop Cookies

OMGOSH! These are absolutely the best cookies. Tasted batter before baking, and knew they'd be good. But, tasting one right from the oven, heavenly. I did not do as some chose to do, chop up fruit smaller. Keeping fruit big lets you know your biting into fruit. If smaller, then you only get the essense of flrui flavor, not true fruit. Wow! I sure lucked up finding this recipe. Love this recipe site. Wow! Wow! Wow! G-r-r-eat cookies.

Bev's Chocolate Pie

Hey, the recipe doesn't say anything about "cooling" the mixture before adding eggs, although past years pies I made did require that. I rated it just so I could comment to forewarn others, but it's in the oven right now and I'm hoping all goes well. I hope if the cooling was necessary, that the recipe is corrected. Also, it says to only heat until butter melts, but others said to heat before doing so. What's what?

Best City Chicken

Discovering this recipe blew me away. Mom made for years, and so did I when I married, but married a southerner. Made it married for him, but I guess thru the years I adapted to souther style cooking . I didn't abandon yankee stuff sompletely, but this one slipped my mind. It's been years. Okay, I listened to some advice and just dredged w/flour, egg w/milk, bread crumbs. One advised to just bake on slightly greased cookie sheet (they are baking now as I speak), I used cooking spray. But, with cookie sheet, you didn't say whether or not to use tin foil. So I didn't, but little unsure cause don't want to dry out, but we'll see. I do remember mom double dipping and yes, did fall off, so didn't.

Fluffy Biscuits

Best biscuits I've everr made in my 70 yrs. I don't eat biscuits too much for myself, just like to make for others. But, I couldn't get over how fluffy and light they are, I actually enjoyed them. I sort of guess it's because of the amount of baking powder, which is more than normal biscuits are. A+++++++++
