Wow, what a day!  There's nothing like spending the day with a 2-year old to find out what staying in the moment is about.  He ate Latkes like they were chocolate ice cream and topped dinner off with chocolate ice cream!  The Latkes were delicious.  I did add a clove of crushed garlic and… MORE

About Me
My favorite things to cook
I have a favorite spaghetti with clam sauce as well as an amazing Pasta Ala Caprese which I'm making this evening with tomatoes grown in our small garden. I also love stirfrying, oven-roasted veggies and Lemon chicken. Rachel Ray's Lemon Spaghetti is lovely but I can't eat too much of it because it goes straight to my hips! After reading this I guess pasta is my weakness. I have an Asian background so grew up on wonderful stirfrys and marinated meats with vegetables. I'm making the cottage pudding cake for dessert this evening.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Asian, especially Korean but including Chinese "our way."
My cooking tragedies
I recently made a fruit cobbler and inadvertently turned off the oven before it was done. Then I didn't know how long it actually cooked so the crust was kind of "gummy." My husband and Mom ate it like there wasn't a thing wrong with it. Well, the fruit was still delicious!
