Tomato and Bacon Jam
Wow! Just wow! Such delicious depth of flavor and satisfaction. I went a little wild today at the farmers' market so needed some quick things to make with heirloom tomatoes. I made a half-recipe, reduced the sugar slightly (from the half Cup split), added about 1/2t of minced garlic and a shake or two of cayenne pepper. Now wish I'd doubled or tripled it! If nobody minds, I think I'll just eat it straight out of the jar.

Oyster Stew
Delicious! This was my first time cooking with oysters but I had a sack of them to use so decided to try a few recipes. The hardest part was the shucking but once I put the ingredients together, this recipe worked so well. The subtle flavors all tied together in the creaminess of the liquid and created such a delicately flavored bowl of goodness. Thanks for sharing this one. I'll definitely use it again!

Oven Roasted Red Potatoes and Asparagus
Delicous flavors! I decided to try it using fresh rosemary and thyme. Usually I've heard the substitution ratio for fresh to dry is 3:1. I was also making just a half recipe so I used approx. 4 tsp each of the fresh herbs with 3/4 lbs red potatoes. It was amazing and still allowed the potatoes and asparagus to be the stars of the dish without an overwhelming herb flavor. The lemon undertones of the rosemary and asparagus worked incredibly well with Marcella Hazan's Roast Chicken with Two Lemons recipe. I will definitely keep this paring clipped together in my recipe binder!
