MMMMM... Brownies

I would have to respectfully disagree with the reviewer who wrote that these brownies are as good as the ones out of a box; these are so so so much better! After a long day of wrangling sick fussy kids, I was in desperate need of some chocolate therapy and these brownies were just what the doctor ordered. I used a 12 oz. bag of semisweet chocolate chips and then tossed about 1/2 cup of milk chocolate chips in with the flour. These brownies are like little bites of fudge. I had to give half of them away so I wouldn't eat them all.

Soft Sugar Cookies IV

I love this recipe! Sugar cookies have never been my favourite cookie because they tend to be a bit crisper than I like, but these ones are so soft and tender. I used almond extract instead of vanilla because I'm a sucker for almond, and they were fantastic. My two-year-old daughter and I rolled out a portion of the dough so we could cut out hearts and then rolled the rest into little balls and dipped them in sugar; both turned out great. Thanks for this wonderful recipe! I'm throwing out my other one and replacing it with this one.

Fresh Apricot Crisp

This is such a nice, easy, and delicious recipe! I added about 1/2 teaspoon of almond extract and some flour to the apricots as one of the other members suggested. I also added cinnamon to the topping. Our house smelled fantastic! The fruit was soft and sweet and the crispy topping was a nice contrast with the fruit. We'll be using this recipe quite often in the future.
