E-Z Drop Biscuits

Reviewed: May 6, 2013
Quick and easy. My 12 year loves to make these. Just concerned about the amount of fat. Found another quick and easy recipe with coconut oil.

Seven-Up® Cake II

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2011
I remember making a 7-Up Cake with my mom as a child. This is the first time I've found the recipe. I've made it at least 4 times already for various functions and church events. ALWAYS A HIT!!! I even found a glaze from another recipe. 1C powdered sugar, 2tsp milk, 2tsp lemon extract, slash of 7-Up. Perfect finish!!!

Whole Wheat Drop Biscuits

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2011
Made these biscuits this morning with my daughter. They came out sooooo good. I have to admit though, they were kinda bland. But no one noticed. I made a gravy with cream of mushroom soup and Morningstar Mushroom Burgers. Poured it over the biscuits and YUMMY!! The kids had theirs with eggs and Morningstar Stripples. Overall, we enjoyed. I need to play with the flavor. But I'm so thankful to find a recipe without hydrogenated oils. THANK YOU!!! (I neglected to add that I too rolled them out and cut out the biscuits. Not thrilled about dropping them. My daughter loved it)

Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2010
I've been looking for a peach cobbler recipe. This was great. I read many of the reviews and did do a few things as several suggested. I used brown sugar in the peaches. I did add cinnamon & vanilla. Next time I think I will double the peaches. We loved it and I can't wait to make again!

Oatmeal with Apples

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2010
We loved this! I'm not a huge oatmeal person. But this recipe caught my interest. I thought I'd try as I had all the ingredients. The only change I made was I added some almond milk. Needed a little creaminess. THANKS!

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies IX

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2010
These cookies were a HIT in my house! I used 1/2c of whole wheat flour and 1/2c all purpose flour. I also used extra virgin olive oil (I was concerned it would over power, but if did not). I was excited to find a recipe, like another reviewer said, without butter. I used freshly grated nutmeg. They came out chewy yet crisp on the outside. My daughter hates raisins, so to took out her portion before adding raisins. I did use chopped walnuts in both batches. This is a keeper for sure!

THE Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2010
I am thoroughly enjoying this flavorful pasta salad! I am a vegetarian so I substituted the ham with a non-meat hot dog cut up. I did not have swiss cheese so I used Parmesan instead. I also did not have any sour cream so I used ranch dressing. Finally, I substituted red pepper flakes for the hot sauce. My family LOVED it. The flavors only improve with time! This is a keeper!

Tofu Sandwich Spread

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2010
THIS IS AN AWESOME SPREAD. I read many reviews before making and followed the following advice: I added curry to add color; I also added garlic powder. It still seemed to need something else so I added some Adobo with cumin. That was just what it needed! I used it to make finger sandwiches for a church luncheon. There was not a drop left!

Coconut Bread II

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2010
I've made this bread 3 times now! Every time is better than the previous! I did make several changes and followed some of the advice in the reviews. - I used 1/2C less sugar - I used 1/2C oil (extra virgin olive oil in fact) and 1/2 C apple sauce - I used egg beaters instead of whole eggs - I used coconut milk once and almond milk another - I added 1/4tsp freshly grated nutmeg - I also added 1/2c golden raisins I followed the advice by one of the raters to decrease the oven temp to 325F. Excellent advise. It was a hit every time! Absolutely delicious!
