Quick Peanut Butter Cookies

These were amazing. I made small balls then did the criss cross pattern with a fork. I baked them for 8 minutes. They didn't look like they were done but I took them out anyway. (They will continue to cook out of the oven) I waited 10 minutes before trying them. They were light and crisp. The recipe is perfect as is but just to shake things up I'm gonna try it with brown sugar, and a little vanilla. So simple! love it love it love it! :)

Wild Grape Starter

So far I'm on day 4 of the 9 day process. I used grapes from my front yard. for the record the white stuff on the grapes is indeed yeast not wax (another reviewer said it wax) They don't put wax on grapes I googled it. Grapes are shipped in wax coated containers to keep moisture out. Anyhoo the grapes in my front yard were covered in yeast. They were fermented on day 2. The day after I added the first cup of flour my mixture was incredibly bubbly and had a wonderful sour smell. I bet I could make bread with it now but I will continue with the 9 day process. I will update in a few days.

Amish White Bread

Great recipe. I followed the suggestions of others and reduced the amount of sugar. I used 1/4 cup sugar. I also used 2t of salt instead of the 1.5 the recipe calls for. I let it rise more than double for the first rise. I had a very fluffy plain white bread that wasn't sweet at all. It is perfect for sandwhiches. Love it!
