Best Brownies

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2015
I made this for my business, I adjusted recipe for 64 servings. Nice, fat and chewy brownies. I will make these again. I subbed oil for butter and I used Belgium cocoa, I use that cocoa for making ice cream and gelato. Big hit with my customers. Thanks!

Golden Sweet Cornbread

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2015
I rarely rate recipes, I just save and reuse them. This recipe is wonderful. The only thing I did different was used my home ground corn meal. It is a little denser than store bought. I soaked it in milk for an hour, to soften it. I also added a 1/3 cup of corn and a few jalapeno slices . My family likes that, in their cornbread. Saved and will share with family!

Orange Pork

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2013
I would give five stars, but I changed it a little bit. Brown sugar instead of white. I also made it with fresh honey from our friends beehive. Both are excellent for sweetness. I browned mine without oil and used the fat from the chops for the oil. I did as another suggested and used the juice from mandarin oranges instead of water. I added a large chunk of dried ginger and 1/4 cup of dried cranberries and let the mixture marinate on keep warm on my stove for about 45 minutes. This gave the flavors a chance to penetrate the meat, I drained off about 1/3 cup of sauce and added the cornstarch. I love that allrecipes gives a great base for starting recipes. great on any type of rice. Thanks.

Pizza Dough III

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2013
I never have a problem with this recipe. Not sure what all the negative complaints are about. Only 1 major thing I change. . . the temp that it is baked at. My son worked for a big pizza bakery and the always bake at 500 degrees. I bake at 500 for 8 minutes then 8 minutes at 350. Perfect every time!

Grandma's Harvard Beets

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2013
Recipe is very good. I use fresh beets or ones that I canned from last summer. The only thing I do different is I add a little bit of cinnamon. That was my mom's favorite way of making them. the rest of the recipe is the same as my MOMS. Her 93rd birthday is today!

Naan

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2010
Excellent! I added dried onion to the Naan, because I like the flavor instead of garlic. I did not need all the flour recommended. I proofed in my oven first and then did as the recipe dictated. I upped the butter a little and did outside on my grill as it was already hot from making Shish Kebobs. Taste just like my friend makes from Nepal. I like mine with a little homemade greek yogurt sauce. YUMMY!

These cam out wonderful. I had fresh frozen strawberries. I used old fashioned rolled oats. I did not have quick oats. They are chewy crispy goodness.

Italian Bread Bowls

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2010
I don't know why anyone has had problems with these flattening out? Mine are huge and I scaled to 6 bowls. When putting the eggwash on, make sure you use a silicone brush. These are much softer and easier to use than bristled brush. I eggwash before and halfway through. I have made these 5 times and never have had a problem. Flavor is great and rise is even better. I am an expert bread maker and never buy store bought bread. Maybe other factors cause the failures of other bread makers.

Stuffed Shells I

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2009
I always make my Stuffed Shells with cottage cheese. I prefer the small curd, but using large curd is never a problem. I mix everything in my kitchenaid . I do add more mozzarella cheese to the recipe. Personal preference. I add preground italian spice and a pinch of ground garlic. The only hint I can give you is if you have a jerkey maker or cookie press use this to fill your shells. No mess and very easy to use.

I haven't made Twice Baked Potatoes in a very long time. These were very good and a reminder why I liked them. I added onion ranch dip, like another reviewer stated. These are amazing. Thanks for reminding me how great potatoes can be again.

Daddy's Fried Corn and Onions

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2009
OMG never had this before. Was wonderful different way to take fresh corn on the cob and change the flavor and texture. I would give this 10 stars if I could. I had 3 dozen ears and was going to blanch most, but this will turn it to 1/2 that amount. Just an add on ; I made it the second day with a few home grown tomatoes thrown in after it was done. Even a better combo.
