Bread Machine Pizza Dough

Reviewed: May 20, 2010
I have used non bread machine and one other bread machine pizza crust and this one is the best I have tried!! It is so simple to make and doesn't require a whole lot of ingredients. I used Bread flour when I made the crust and did everything else the same. It was so good, my husband and I couldn't resist only eating two slices of pizza. We also made another pizza the next day and the day after...That is how good it was! I now make this recipe with 1 can of beer at room temperature. We use our favorite beer and I just flatten the beer myself by pouring from one cup to another. Also if beer isn't warm, will heat up in microwave to save time (Important to have ingredients at room temp). I also use 3 tablespoons butter, 3 tablespoons sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoon salt, 3 3/4 cup flour and 3 1/2 teaspoons of yeast (basically a recipe and a half). After the dough has been made, I will divide the dough and roll into two pizza crust. One for adults and the other for the kids! I love to use barbecue sauce instead of pizza sauce. IT taste amazing, give it try!

Wake-Up Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2013
Absolutely love this recipe! The hash browns make this recipe. I thought there was way too much meat and cheese, but it worked out great. I had to cook an extra 20 mins longer.

Chicken Tetrazzini

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2013
Makes a lot of food. When I made this dish the first time it was full in my dishes! Didn't think it would all fit and thought it might spill over. It didn't thankfully, but I do recommend cutting the recipe in half. This dish is amazing and the beau monde spice really adds the flavor to the dish.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2008
One of my two favorite apple pies to make! The other is the Glazed Apple Cream Pie which can also be found on this site. I prepared the pie using the suggestions of 1 Tablespoon of Vanilla, 1 teaspoon of Cinnamon, and 2 shakes of nutmeg. I used 8 small apples as suggested, thought about using only 6, but glad I used 8. I cut my apple slices thin in order to get my apples to bake nicely. I brought this in for a Potluck fundraiser and everyone was raving about my pie and it was the first desert completely eaten.

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2014
Yummy! Definitely recommend trying this recipe. All my kids loved it! Husband loves the cornbread cake, so I thought this would be a great alternative to the store bought mix. Totally better and tasted great. Will make again. I substituted Greek yogurt for the sour cream as it is much healthier and a great replacement.

Monkey Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2010
I added 2/3 brown sugar and would have just replaced it with the regular sugar but it was an after thought. Next time I plan to substitute the sugar with 3/4 brown sugar. I used kitchen scissors to cut the dough into 4ths, worked really well and was quick. So quick and easy to make! Taste really good too!

The Best Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2014
Simple and easy potatoes to make. I followed Chef Johns video instructions and they turned out great. I have made my potatoes in the past with chive and onion cream cheese and that made my potatoes taste great! I like both recipes, but this one has less fat and taste great. I made mine with 2% milk too! If you like Garlic add that when you season with salt and pepper. I actually only seasoned with Cajun seasoning the first time I made these...mistake of grabbing the wrong spice. Still amazing. Great recipe to use and add your own spices too.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Secret Recipe

My favorite recipe for mashed potatoes! I had a recipe that called for cream cheese and I loved that recipe until I became lactose intolerant. I can handle butter no problem so this is by far my favorite new recipe and the best recipe I have had for mashed potatoes!!

Brown Family's Favorite Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2011
So good you don't need cool whip!!! I can't eat pumpkin pie without cool whip and this pie is really yummy that you can go with out or add it and make it even more special!! What makes this pie so special is the brown sugar/walnut topping and adding sweetened condensed milk to the pumpkin filling. You can not go wrong with this pie. Make it every year for Thanksgiving!

Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2013
Followed recipe exactly. I boiled my peaches for 2 minutes to help peal the skins as suggested, but I think I needed to boil and cool longer than suggested. I used Peaches that weren't too soft, so maybe that was apart of it, but regardless I was able to peal 50 - 80% of the peach with ease and then had to use my knife to remove the remaining. The Cobbler is delicious and will make again!

Delicious Pineapple Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2010
I used 10 ounces of pineapple and added it right to the mixture. I also did not melt the butter for the topping as people suggested. I also baked the muffins at 375 for 25 minutes. Do not use cupcake liners!!!!! The muffins will stick bad - though if you wait a few days they will gather enough moisture from the air and come out easier. I found it to be much easier to just grease and flour the muffin pan. Definitely go with 12 larger muffins. I made two batches the first time I tried and made two more the next day. Everyone loves them! So easy to make. Don't worry about adding pineapple to the top of the muffins - it is unnecessary work.

Glazed Apple Cream Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2001
Love making this pie. This is a great apple pie that taste delicious cold. Making the cream requires patience and stirring on low temps. That way you don't get clumps. I find the more apples the better, so I usually ad an extra apple or two since they shrink during baking.
