About this Cook
Im a Social Studies teacher working in Cairo/Egypt. Both me & my fiancée love eating, however Im trying to incorporate some healthy solutions to our diet. Since Im pregnant, therefore Im even more concerned about this now. Im not really an experienced cook, still experimenting;)
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are one-pot dishes served with pasta, rice or potatoes. Easy and you can have so many variations. I also love adding tomatoes to everything I cook, I don't know why:)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Im Polish so our family cooking traditions are rooted in our Slovakian culture:) Its preparing dishes like 'bigos' (mixture of cabbage, sausages, different kinds of meat, tomatoes..etc), then 'pierogi' (stuffed dumplings with meat or fruits), of course we eat lots of 'kielbasa' and since Im from the Western part, we love potatoes and everything that can be made out of it:)
My cooking triumphs
Steak:)
My cooking tragedies
Tomato soup, I know, how can you mess that up!!?? I added whole meal flour when thickening the soup and it was a disaster:)

Beef Stew VI
This stew was really good;) Im so happy I picked this one. I did introduce a few changes, since I live in Egypt and sometimes I cant find certain spices I try to replace them with what I have. I added thyme, a bit of curry, onion powder, meat spices, bay leaves and ketchup. It was so rich in flavor;) yummy;)
