Chef John's Lemon Bars

These are fantastic! I love how the lemon layer somehow forms a bit of a crust on top. It allows a dusting of powdered sugar to stay on top, and not soak in, as has happened with every other lemon bar I've ever made! The shortbread crust is just perfect. I doubled the recipe and baked it in a 9x13 pan, because a small pan is never enough :) (**next time I will add a bit more lemon and lemon zest because I love very tart citrus flavor, but they're delicious as written)

Easy Linzer Thumbprints

These cookies are delicious exactly as written!!! I always top with a royal icing colored to match the occasion. I just made them with 3 different shades of pink icing for a baby shower.

Sugar Cookie Icing

This recipe makes GORGEOUS shiny glazed cookie frosting! I used it on my favorite thumbprint cookies for my sister's-in-law baby shower and can't believe how beautiful they are! My old standard recipe (which did not include corn syrup) gives a much more matte finish. (I did have to add a few more teaspoons of liquid, but the recipe did say I might have to.) Thanks for such a easy recipe for such a beautiful result!!!

Old Fashioned Apple Dumplings

WONDERFUL!!! Made them with my daughter for my dad... he said, "They're the only apple dumplings I've ever had that were better than your mom's. But don't tell her!" That says it all!!! A MUST make again and again!

Loved it!!!! Even my picky kids ate it -- I just didn't tell them there was sour cream in it :) Next time, I'll add corn and try black beans... a great recipe that can be adjusted in so many ways!

Southern Grilled Barbecued Ribs

AMAZING sauce! I'm usually a bottled sauce girl, but I thought I'd give it a try.... I don't think I'll ever buy a bottle again! It was well worth the little bit of effort! Didn't use the hot pepper (don't like the heat) and used a bit of extra brown sugar.

Florida Key Lime Pie

Love it!!! I add some extra lime juice - I love it extra tart. Tastes even better after chilling for a couple of days! I also use the Keebler mini graham cracker crusts to make it quick and easy.

Amazingly Good Eggnog

FANTASTIC!!! Absolutely fantastic! Got rave reviews from EVERYONE who tasted it...even people who thought they didn't like eggnog! Left out the rum to keep it "family-friendly" and let people add it if they wanted to. Didn't need it, though. I will make this EVERY year without a doubt!!! Thank you for sharing, Natalie's mom!!!

Sweet Dinner Rolls

FANTASTIC sweet bread dough! I use half unbleached flour and half wheat flour and add a little extra sugar --- no bread machine -- all by hand. I use this dough to make my "famous" pepperoni rolls -- I weigh out approximately 1 oz portions of dough, press flat into an oval with my fingers, lay out a row of 5 slices of pepperoni, then roll up, tucking in the ends, and bake them seam side down after egg-washing until golden brown. The combination of sweet dough with the spicy pepperoni is out of this world (always eat warmed in the microwave)!!! But I ALWAYS save some of the dough to make my son some cinnamon rolls. He LOVES them! I tie some dough into a little knot, spray with "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter," and generously dip in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar... no icing necessary with this dough. THANK you for this recipe that I will use FOR LIFE!!!
