Pork Chops with Blue Cheese Gravy

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2009
Sauce was tasty, we only had enough for two servings.

Simple Swiss Chard

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2009
Had almost a sweet taste, very flavorful and not mushy.

Fennel Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2009
Great easy soup for spring or fall. We did add (yellow new) potatoes and after the first bowl topped with green onion. This recipe would also be easy to modify and add other ingredients, such as root vegetables.

Turtle Candy

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2006
My Junior Girl Scout troop made this recipe. We forgot to add the shortening to the chocolate and we melted it in the microwave, but otherwise everything turned out great by simply following the directions. Some of the carmels melted too much, but most were just fine.

Chicken Pot Pie II

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2006
My Junior Girl Scout troop made this and had a lot of fun. We used whole wheat crust and baked it for 45 minutes then froze it for a week and then finished cooking. It was beautiful and good tasting. There was way too much filling though.

Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2005
This was so easy for a first time sauce maker! The only thing I should've done was made double sure the parmesan was melting because it was a little thick on the bottom. My husband was so impressed I made it, he assumed it was store bought!

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2005
Poor me! Couldn't get this thing into a ball, but that was because I made it late at night and then once warmed back up couldn't get it right. I do plan on making this again, people really enjoyed it. I ended up mixing the pecans in and it was yummy on chocolate graham crackers.

Olive Oil Cranberry Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2005
Very moist, mellow flavor. Might add more cranberries next time. A little dark looking. People hesitated because of the words "olive oil", but when encouraged to taste a bite they all liked it.

October Apple Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2005
We didn't get much of a caramel taste to this, tasted like a regular apple pie.

No Bake Choco-Peanut-Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2005
Put mini chocolate chips in half the batch, those firmed up, the rest didn't. Added about an extra 1/2 cup of oats. My 4 year old niece loved mixing these up and licking the spoon. I also found them to be a bit too chocolatey.

Blueberry Dump Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2005
Followed recipe exactly. Was a tad sweet, but everyone in the family (10+) loved it. Was able to recall the simple recipe from memory and share with others. Will make again.

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2005
I'm practically drooling as I recall how awesome this chicken was! The chicken came out so moist and tender. Easy and didn't take long, even for 65 servings. There was a lot of "breading" left over, I just sprinkled it on top and it was great!

Spinach Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2005
This was a great salad. Kids loved it, until their parents mentioned spinach, even so, most kept eating. I had to make the recipe for 65 people, but there was just way too much. Making it for a large crowd? I'd go with 20-30 servings.

Chicken Kiev

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2004
Never really realized exactly how easy Chicken Kiev was until I made this for one of our "The Amazing Race" dinners. Great flavor and something that adds that "extra something" without taking up any extra time.

This was great, we ate this as one of the dishes on our "The Amazing Race" nights. Something we will be adding to our monthly meal plans.

Crazy Cake

Reviewed: May 20, 2004
The cake was not as sweet as I would've liked, but 3 out of 4 Brownie Girl Scouts liked it. It was simple to put together and allowed the girls to test out new skills. The cake was moist, had good flavor and was easy to put together. We would make it again.

Cheese Blintzes

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2003
My husband made this with our Brownie Troop and we all loved it. We used "naked bread" (the kind without the crust) and I don't remember if we cut them or not. The girls weren't that hot about the sour cream, but overall this is a great kid friendly recipe!

Simple But Awesome Lemon Pepper Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2003
I thought the chops were bland and way too peppery. My husband liked them. We both found them a little dry even with all the oil and sauce. If he makes them again I'll suggest adding some actual lemon squeezed over the top.

Lemon Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2003
Easy and great tasting cake that you can make with stuff in your pantry! This would be nice to use for unexpected company or when you need a quick dessert. I didn't use any topping, but that would add the little extra touch. I'm also going to experiment with adding more lemon flavor to the cake.

Easy Dump Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2003
Super duper easy! The chocolate taste was great, but not overpoweringly so. I did use mini chocolate chips and no fat sour cream. My cake kinda fell in the middle and it was a little wrinkly, but everyone loved it and couldn't believe how moist it was.
