The Best Fresh Tomato Salsa

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2014
Husband and I went to the Produce Market today and they had very ripe tomatoes, fill the bag for $2. I asked him what in the world was I going to do with all those tomatoes? I found this recipe and made it. WOW I should have tried to the jalnepo's before I made it...its hot!!Good thing he likes hot. Needless to say we didn't find it bland at all. Will make again but will not make the jalepono mistake again.

Cheddar and Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2014
Made it as a side for dinner and leftovers for lunches. Wanted something different. It was very good, I also added 2 boiled egg and used dill pickle and some pickle juice. I forgot the milk but didn't seem to make a different since I had the pickle juice. I like to try a new recipe before I make it for a potluck or bbq and this will definently be one that I will be making

Pumpkin Sheet Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2014
I am not much of a baker, but have been trying to get over my fear of it. I made this for Easter dinner and found it to be very easy and delicious. I followed the recipe exactly except I cheated on the frosting. I bought the cream cheese frosting from the grocery store. But it was still very good. My daughter said "you made this mom?...from scratch" I will try making it with the tip on using applesauce and see how it effects the taste. I was surprised about the 1 cup oil because it seemed like alot. I told my daughter about the oil content after she ate it and she was not so happy about that. I said at least you got your vegetable servings for the day..Ha Ha. Thanks for the great cake recipe!!

I made this for my grandaugters 8th Birthday party. It was for an outdoor pool party with more adults than childred. Served it with a huge fruit salad. I used two 7 oz jars of fluff and added a 6 oz container of strawberry yogurt. It took alot of mixing but was so good. I will make this again for sure.

Burek

Reviewed: May 1, 2012
My husband helped a coworker who is from Bosnia build a deck on his house. His wife prepared them a lunch of Berek and pickled veggies. I did some research and have tried to recreate berek and this recipe is really good. I don't know if its our American taste buds but I too thought it was a little bland. I made a spice mixture of garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper and a little dried oregano. I boiled the chopped potatoes for 5 minutes and added to the browned beef and onion with the spice mixture. I used 3 phyllo sheets per berek and brushed melted butter to seal. I tried the snail shape and it broke so I just rolled into a tube and put them next to each other. They were flaky and delicious. I made a spread of sour cream, dried dill and garlic powder. I love allrecipes.com because you can find a recipe that you have never tried to make before but can tweek it and make it your on that your friends and family love. Thanks, So GOOD!

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2010
All I can say is "oh my goodness", made this tonight and it was awesome! I did decrease the butter to 1/2 cup and used a potatoe masher to break up the broccoli. Thank you so much Karin for this recipe.
