Homemade Flour Tortillas

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
I can't believe how easy these were! I will definitely be making these again next time I need flour tortillas. The tortillas become very pliable after resting between dish towels or plates, so they do really well when made ahead of time.

Asian Coleslaw

This was awesome! The only thing I added to the dressing was some fish sauce, which gave it more of a Pad Thai flavor.

These are my absolute new favorite sweets! Perfect size, perfectly sweet! These tasted and felt more like doughnut holes the day after baking them.

Donut Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2010
Oh my. These are amazing. I will be making and sharing these often. They tasted and felt more like a doughnut hole the day after I had made them, as opposed to fresh out of the oven.

Black Magic Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2010
So easy and very flavorful! The coffee gives depth to the flavor of the cake, not a strong coffee taste. Will be using this many times in the future!

Cinnabun Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2010
It took me a couple of tries to "figure out" this recipe. My only change to the recipe was adding 1 TBsp of flour to the filling to prevent it from melting out of the cookies and spreading. I rolled the dough out between two sheets of saran wrap, and after spreading the filling on each sheet I rolled them up using the saran wrap. I cut them a little thinner than half and inch because I wanted them to be more like cookies rather than actual cinnamon rolls. Baked them at 350 for 10-15 min. Once done baking, I left them on the sheet, otherwise they would've broken if I tried to transer them. Leaving them on the sheet helped the cookies set and become easier to transer off the baking sheet. Once I figured out the right way to prepare them they turned out great and were a big hit! I'll always keep a roll of these in my freezer for when unexpected visitors come over (which happened a couple of times, lol). The dough also cuts easily when removed from the freezer.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2010
This was just the taste I was looking for! I used these seasoning for a slow-cooked a whole chicken, covered; then uncovered and baked at a high temp to make the skin crisp. Made great sandwiches!

Japanese Shrimp Sauce I

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2010
This comes darn close to the stuff at the restaurants. The only thing I add is 1 tsp of tomato paste. Then it's perfect! And you HAVE to let it sit in the fridge overnight to let the flavors develop.

Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2010
Very satisfying soup! If you want your soup to have texture, use brown or green lentils (also known as masoor lentils). Red and yellow lentils fall apart without any effort.

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2010
I was hoping for a light and fluffy bread, but it ended up being dense, even after cutting the sugar in half.

The Best Thai Coconut Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2010
I halved this recipe and am seriously regretting that now because it is so good! I was having a strong craving for this soup, and had never made it before. So simple to make and so good.

Breaded Chicken Fingers

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2010
I adjusted this recipe to serve 80 (yes, 80) people for a community potluck. It turned out great and people have been talking about it ever since! My only addition was Old Bay seasoning to the flour/breadcrumb mix.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2010
I followed the suggestions given by Reg927. I let the butter and cream cheese come to room temperature. Then I whipped them together in a bowl before adding them to the saucepan, because I wasn't sure how the cream cheese would melt into the sauce.

Special Lemonade

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2010
I love this lemonade! I didn't put as much sugar as the recipe called for, and it was still sweet enough. Also, if it's too sweet for you, you can add more club soda to your cup. Thanks for sharing!
