2-Step Skillet Chicken Broccoli Divan

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2010
Once of the best "quick" sponsored recipes on this site I think. I have made it several times now and it's always a hit with just the right mix of fresh ingredients and canned to make it taste great while still being easy to prepare. I prefer to mix the cheese into the broccoli and chicken and have also served with fried potatoes. Very good!

Country Chicken Supper

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2010
Surprisingly good for how simple it is. I ended up using sushi rice and frozen carrots because that was all I had on hand but it was still delicious!

Apricot Glazed Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2011
A fairly simple recipe with a bit of zest. I found that as written, the glaze wasn't quite thick enough and suggest at least 2 tablespoons of cornstarch. I was hoping for a stronger flavor and found it to be a bit bland. Cooking the glaze separately for breaded chicken might make this tastier.

Broccoli Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2011
I really liked this one. I ended up having to make a few modifications since I didn't have anything on hand but it was easy and turned out great! A surprisingly good dish for such simple ingredients. Definitely a keeper for when I'm not feeling like making my alfredo from scratch. I highly suggest fresh zucchini to go with (or replace) the broccoli. It really added to the dish in my opinion.

Super Fast and Easy Chicken a la King

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2010
This dish was a big hit. I only had to use 2 of each can and ended up skipping on the water for a thicker mixture. Threw carrots in with the peas and mixed thoroughly. Served over pesto mashed potatoes. It was a great mix of home cooking with just a touch of flair from the pesto. I'll be making this one again!

Yummy Pesto Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2010
I was really happy with this. I ended up serving a quick Chicken a la King over them and the pesto added a nice bit of flair to the dish overall. I like my potatoes a little mushier though so had to be a bit more liberal with the milk. It was a quick and easy recipe that I'll be saving though!

Italian Sausage, Peppers, and Onions

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2012
One of my favorite recipes that almost everyone I've made it for enjoys. I prefer to leave the sausages whole and frequently sub a flavored olive oil (though these do get pricey) for the garlic, The results are always excellent though. Whether I use sweet sausage, spicy sausge, or something else entirely (I've cooked with chorizo sausage before!) this is a pretty good recipe to get you started on making a delicious, and very classic, dish.

Hash Brown Ham Quiche

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2011
I've made this several times now for friends and family and it is always a hit. It is pretty easy to swap out vegetables and mushrooms if you don't like a particular item and still maintain the flavor of the quiche. The potatoes can also be spiced more heavily to make for a very zesty crust. I always seem to end up with a way larger quiche than a 9-inch plate can hold though! An easy five stars for being relatively easy to assemble and delicious

Easy Pilaf

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2011
I thought this was a very good basic pilaf though it was a bit bland. This was acceptable to me as my family tends to like bland foods. However, tossing it with some vegetables might make it taste better.

Bacon Chicken II

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2012
This has become one of my favorite recipes that I pulled from this website. My family did find that the BBQ sauce was a bit strong, so instead of completely soaking the chicken in sauce, I actually brush the BBQ sauce onto the meat. It takes longer to prepare but it leaves the chicken with a good flavor without completely overpowering the meat. I also wrap the bacon around the chicken and serve as is - not the best if you're looking for crunchy bacon - but definitely filled with flavor.

Jessica's Real Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2012
Made this for my mom for her birthday and I have to say it turned out very, very well! Frying the onions properly took a bit of work but the rest of the recipe was easily assembled. To me it comes across as an extremely filling comfort food and that is exactly what my family was looking for. I'll definitely be making this one again.

Spanish Rice Original

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2010
This was pretty awesome. It was my first attempt at a real rice dish and I was extremely pleased that the rice came out as tender as I'd expect from a restaurant. The bacon flavor was a bit much. I think next time I will use a bit more tomato and a bit less bacon. Don't get me wrong though, the flavor was excellent, if not quite what I would have expected from a spanish rice dish.

I was really happy with the way this turned out. Ended up using a lot more chicken than directed but the flavor and everything was just perfect!
