Honey, ketchup?! My partner was taken aback at the ingredients listed in this recipe. But don't be fooled, the end result is the perfect amount of spicy, and pretty good flavors overall. I really like how accessible this Asian recipe is compared to others which require me to spend money on ingredients that won't get used very often in my kitchen (ex: oyster sauce).I confess I did not follow the recipe to the letter. Changes as follows: Used all the ingredients but replaced shrimp with thin slices of chicken. Fresh grated ginger instead of ground, red pepper flakes, added steamed broccoli/carrots and as others recommended doubled the sauce. Overall I am pleased with the results and will probably use this recipe again. Thanks!
