Crock-Pot® Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2013
I needed something quick to throw in the crockpot and come upon this recipe. I had everything but the green salsa, so I improvised with what I did have and threw in a can of ranch style beans with jalapenos. I upped the oregano to 3/4, added a packet of dry ranch, and added some garlic for flavor. Put it on high for 4 hrs, and came home to deliciousness! Served with shredded sharp cheddar, sour cream, and warm flour tortillas. It was awesome! Would recommend to anyone. I'm sure if mine was thrown together and improvised that the original version with green salsa is even more delicious.

Gourmet Sweet Potato Classic

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2012
I followed the advice and did 1/3 c white sugar and 2/3 c of brown sugar. Baked and then peeled the potatoes. We also made it even sweeter by adding the marshmallows. It turned out amazing! More of a dessert though. Took place of my pies. But a lot easier to make, I feel. I prepared it the night before Thanksgiving and baked it on Thanksgiving Day. Turned out beautifully. Would definitely recommend.

Broccoli Casserole I

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2012
I used 1 can of cream of mushroom and 1 can of cream of chicken. Turned out amazing! Added 1/4 cup of butter and a sleeve of Ritz cracker crumbles for the top, with some shredded sharp cheddar cheese, turned out to be a big hit at Thanksgiving. Taste just like O'Charley's version, which I love!

Baked Homemade Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2012
Turned out great! Very simple. I took the advice and made a roux first then slowly mixed in the cheese. Also added cheese with the cracker topping. Baked beautifully and tasted delicious!

Coconut Date Balls

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2012
I have always made date balls with marshmallows, brown sugar, and rolled them in powdered sugar. I found I didn't have any marshmallows and I had coco krispies instead of Rice Crispies. So I made this recipe just as it asked, put in 3 cups of the Coco Crispies, and rolled them in the coconut. Came out absolutely amazing! Family loved them! Will have to make these again. Fantastic!

Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2010
Just as suggested I added the additional peanut butter and flour...I also added a tsp of vanilla and a 1/2 tsp of almond extract. Popped them in for 9.5 minutes (in my gas oven) and BAM! Perfection! I also added a drop of grape jam to the tops of half of the batch before baking to make them PB&J cookies...yum yum!
