My favorite things to cook
I make alot of sweet things, for my husband and son. But, my favorite things are salty...garlic-y...not so much a sweet tooth. I love steak, chicken, potatoes, artichokes, kielbasa, etc. There isn't really just 'a' favorite for me. But I really love cooking in my crockpot.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family used to make strufola (honey balls) and cavatelli. My husbands' side used to make wonderful Italian cookies for the holidays. I am trying to keep this alive and going for my son to carry on, experience, and share with his friends now, and family-to-be in the future :).
My cooking triumphs
Anything and Everything that get a smile from my husband and son- or a "Man, that was awesome!" response.
My cooking tragedies
:( My only cooking tragedy.... when I was a young teen, at home babysitting my sister, I made fries. (back then when moms kept oil on the stove in a pot- and just re-used the oil over and over) Well, the oil caught fire, the kitchen caught fire, and all our elderly neighbors came running,(haha I can laugh now because it is in the past, and no one was hurt),but the poor old people running down the street with fire extinguishers ,lol priceless! Anyway- I do NOT hold on to oil that long in my home....lesson learned.
