Mary Anne's Moist and Nutty Carrot Loaf
I had high hopes for this one and was planning to share one loaf with my neighbour. I followed the recipe almost to a 'T', only leaving out the raisins and nuts 'cause I didn't have any. The end result was 2 SUPER TASTY OILY LOAVES. The baking time and/or temp was off. I set the temp at 375 as stated but the loaves were not done at the 45min mark as listed in the recipe. I dropped the temp and baked an extra 15min. Although my kids liked the taste, next time I will definitely cut down the oil, and bake at 350 as another reviewer suggested. I also decided not to share this with my neighbour. 3 stars for taste.

Traditional Baba Ghanoush
Good recipe. Real ingredients. Much much better than the store bought stuff. I prefer more tahini though... personal preference.

Portuguese Custard Tarts - Pasteis de Nata
This was pretty good. My kids loved them. The filling was easy to make and the puff pastry shells were just the right flakiness. The taste however was not as close to authentic as i was hoping for. Somehow the filling was not quite right. Nevertheless i will make again because the kids loved them, they were easy to make.... and it's a lot cheeper to make at home for a large family. I think these cost about $2 each at the bakery.
